I think the scrambler or gauss rifle might already occupy this role anyway. I thought that too but I think eventually all races will have weapons that fulfil all roles with distinct advantages and disadvantages to each. The Gallente military would favour their own manufactured weapons surely, over he Caldari counterpart so maybe we might see an EVE style racial bonus (like the ship weapons bonus).
You mean like Gallente Assault having a bonus to hybrid damage whereas Caldari Assault have a bonus to hybrid range? That would be interesting. |

Ever heard of ArcLite Arms? It's a small arms manufacturer that was acquired by Duvolle Laboratories years ago (YC110), confirmed by EVE lore before Dust 514 was even announced. And CreoDron makes drones, which could be considered weapons. In fact, Duvolle Laboratories has made weapon systems since YC100. Sure, it doesn't release any blueprints designs officially carrying the Duvolle logo, but still, lore confirmed it. |
