How is it that the logistics type-II suit is able to gain movement and sprint speed but keeps the same amount of armor, whereas, every other class has its movement and speed affected depending on if it has more or less armor? Is it related to EVE lore regarding faction technology? |

Same armor but less weight because they have 1 less equipment slot ! |

Oh ok. Does the fusion core (or whatever the power supply for the suit is called) have an affect as well because if slots do affect weight shouldn't there be a drop off in speed going from a Series B to a VK.1 since it adds an extra equipment slot? |

Just a small bit of information for Those Who Are Interested In Logistics.
Type II: Underpowered and worthless.
B series: Fast and able to almost kill as well as an assault
VK1: Rigged. All the benefits of the Type I line, with an extra 15-20% move speed.
You have no idea how much I am looking forward to getting my proto suit this week :D.
Stick to the A Series line until proto and then hop to VK1. You won't regret it. You will be like a scout class, but with more CPU, shields, armor, equipment slots, and PG . |

the logic type II has one less equipment slot. |

Umm...Type II Assault gains extra shield w/ reduced armor. This is the reason for increase in mobility for the Assault. How am I wrong? |

Edit: Disregard, I see the VK.1 uses a more high-grade material, so I assume that's the reason for no drop off in speed. It is worth noting that the racial variants of the various suits use different power generation technology.
For example, minmatar suits use variable-displacement, tuned intake/exhaust two-strokes.
Knowing this can be a valuable advantage on the battlefield. Experienced Ammarian strike forces know to look for the faint clouds of blue smoke, or turn up the gain on their external suit mic amplifiers and load preprocessing tuned-Chebyshev software filters to listen for the sound of a pull-cord as Matari warriors desperately try to restart their suit generators. |
