After being in a squad with my corporation I've come to realize something. That as a logi-sis we need to use better than militia gear to be effective on the battlefield that standard injector and repper just doesn't cut it. All the other archetypes are able to use their militia gear competently. Or I am just obsessive about my ability to keep my squad in perfect order. |

Of course, Better Nanite Injectors equals less time healing me and more time healing others. Better Reppers equals a better Logi, faster reps=more reps + more time to actually help shoot something. prototype nanohives, divides cuts your workload by 50% and resupplies everyone too. I feel like the most important piece of equipment for a logi is the repair tool. Triage is a good addition since its not too expensive and definitely gets the job done. You can have a militia injector or hive since they're generally really situational, but being able to repair most armor in just a few seconds, heavy aside, is wildly effective. |

I usually run with a triage rep, militia NI, and gauged nanohives. It keeps the fit cheap but still incredibly effective |

I never run with an injector when I play as a logi and instead focus on keeping my Heavy alive (yes, I'm a dedicated chubby chaser) with a BDR-2 repair tool. I'm also a lot squishier than my Heavy counter-part, so I think heavily investing in shield boosters and armor plates (as well as armor repair) is a good idea. You're no use to a Heavy as a dead logi. I also like using the gauged nanohives because I can place three down at a time for my team mates. Played a couple rounds of ambush last night and I was always in the top 3 with less than five kills. My Heavy would get 17 kills and I'd still be above him in WP! :D
I don't play my logi alt that often, but I am falling more and more in love with it. |

Its the needle bro... Any logi wants there 80% needle before proto repair tool... It is nice to rep someone 3x faster (and being able to rep 2 people) but needles save clones... and reviving a heavy at 80% armor is just so worth it lol |

Another quote for extra truthiness. If you only have one item on you that's not militia grade it should be the needle.

I've said it before and I'll repeat it here to spread the word. If you're running with a militia needle then let the logi next to you do the reviving because he should be running a higher grade injector. Just don't forget to stab the logi if he goes down. |

Your feelings are felt universally by logis. IMO its more expensive to be effective at the same level. The main reason I don't 'feel' as effective as a logi is because its easier to take life than preserve it.
A guy with a gun just takes health to 0 in <2 seconds. We feel like we have to nurse people back to full health. I have a neurosis where if I see anyone with a spec of red in their armor I want to top it off. It has taken me a while, but I've worked out of this and am starting to 'triage' people better. Figure out who are the dumb ones and who are the smart ones. Don't risk your life/isk for people who are unlikely to get more kills anyway.

I know it costs AUR, but in a difficult battle the cistern nanohive with its armor rep can be very handy indeed. |

If you are running a dedicated logistics character, there is no reason for you to not run in at least a Type 1 suit. Only being able to fit two pieces of equipment really hurts your ability to support the team because your squad will either run out of health, ammo, or clones. Type 1 suits are not as cheap as militia, but they shouldn't break your bank and with the right skills you can get some pretty solid fits. I myself run a Type 1 suit with over 600 HP and still using mostly advanced equipment. If you are trying to save ISK (for some reason like wanting to sit on a massive pile of gold) you can run all militia modules on a type 1 suit for around 15k per suit. There is no excuse not to do this as you will still pull a profit into the double digit deaths, which is a solid indicator you might want to practice the mechanics of the game a little bit more.
Also, we are not the only class that gets hurt running in militia gear. The Militia Heavy suit is laughable. It has all the penalties of a normal heavy suit with 20% less HP and one less high slot. The Militia Assault suit isn't great, but you are right, it does still get the job done. I can't comment on Militia Scout due to lack of use on my part. |

It has simply made it easier to do my job but the cost is insane and makes me sad with each death. A bad match can cost an arm and a leg. |

I have the SEVR BPO standard suit with three equipment slots that came in a special merc pack (available on its own for AUR now). I recommend that as an excellent way to keep ISK costs down.
I'm speced for ADV needles, hives, and rep tool, but most of the time I run militia BPOs in pub matches to keep the cost down. I do love the effectiveness of the better equipment, but most of the time it makes my suit too expensive.
I suppose I should make a fit with ADV equipment and leave my EXO-5 MD home to compensate. That would force me to concentrate on logi stuff since I have nothing in other weapons. |

Losing an arm and a leg, ISK-wise, is precisely why I don't run with that level of gear.
I primarily stick with standard and advanced gear. I can usually afford to lose four to six clones with those loadouts; proto gear ... well, maybe one or two clones, and that's it.
One is of little use to the team is one has no ISK left to buy the good stuff with, or you have to beg your corporation for a donation in order to equip oneself. And, beyond ISK, some of those high-level aurum items get pricey, too.
Maybe it's just me, but I wish the advanced and prototype suits came with just a *wee* bit more armor and shielding. It's true that there's a slot of slots on logistics suits to equipement goodies on, and that's useful in its own right, but also makes it painful when a good suit is lost. Right now, it costs me 99,000 ISK per suit, fully outfitted. |

This is without any modules currently since I spent so much time getting what I needed to be a good logi. I only have 3.1 mil sp. |

I still use my Sever suit just with slightly altered equipment. triage rep tool, gauged hives and the 50% revive. with a few tweaks i can get a gek on there, couple armor plates and damage mods. it serves its purpose and can be a very cheap suit with basic fittings as well. i have a/b class suits but for cost effective fittings ya just cant beat the Sever |
