Forge gun snipers, I hate getting hit by them, but you've got to respect them |

But it really is a weapon that people can't use too often. I mean, some of my corp tried taking it up but man it didn't work for them at all. And I'm very used to Single Fire Weapons since BFBC2 from sniper shotgunning snipers with a shotgun with a single slug to anywhere to the body. Thats pretty much where I picked up how to use the Forge gun easily since it is the closest to that gun that I used to use.
Lol when I got the gatson forge gun I was all happy but I went to go use it and was like WTF is wrong with this thing why is it not firing WTF I have to let go of the trigger because all I use is assault forge. Since that one time I have never used it again due to the wisdom of the salvage system a logi/ds pilot(me) now has officer forge guns, why do i never get the salvage that i want? |

Was it in the merc battles yesterday? I remember blowing it up after i laid 2 AV grenades on the ground. After you drove over them i let my forge gun go to work Yeah it was that match where that noob 45 guy spawned in a blaster tank, I'd Turned onto the road to escape him and I ran straight into you |

Not that hard, just requires practice. Everything in this game does but you guys get my respect because you pick a role and stick with it as much as you can, just like us dropship pilots get respect for doing an expensive job of being a pi+Ķata for enemy av and making people go "oh free points" and completely forget about our infantry |

It was extremely frustrating getting used to how they work and from time to time I still get upset by lining up the perfect shot and seeing it go as far in the opposite direction as possible. One thing to keep in mind is the splash damage is really significant and in the top end forge guns you can kill lightly armored targets with the splash damage alone. Also assault forge guns fire off two rounds "relatively" quickly, so even if neither hit is spot on you are getting them with the splash.
One of my favorite forge gunning moments happened this past weekend when I killed a few people and then a heavy and his logipet came around a corner. One shot to the heavy's chest and he was gone. The logi took a moment to realize that his heavy had been vaporized and his repper wasn't going to bring him back. His delayed reactions proved his demise as a second forge round went through his chest as well. logipet? LMAO, your logi's will probably take offense to that, but damn is that story not funny I debated writing that and decided to go with it. I am actually one of our Corps dedicated Logistics players, but when I am alone and no one is watching I like to experiment with new things. I heard nothing! |

That's what makes it so fun, sometimes you can run away but others your only choice is to go for broke and charge the guy down, its like jousting except one person has an LAV the other person an electromagnetic canon, first one to hit the hardest wins |

I have ended the battle in a draw as the LAV explosion was close enough to kill myself as well. there's always an exception, but i get so bored some matches these days i just go around ramming people with my methana, those things are ridiculously fun. |

They're slow, i'm fast the LAV sucks at turning *takes two steps to the left, blasts LAV as it zooms past* You don't even have to hit full on, as long as i clip you with the wheel you're dead, and i survive 50% of my encounters with forge guns, of course I tend to run out of luck on the second attempt |
