I'd like to bring up two points here that I feel should be implemented to make re-stocking more user-friendly as the current iteration is more of a hassle than I feel it really needs to be.
Can't restock gear from Mercenary Pack and the system will not restock the entire fit unless they are removed. Let's say you're using a dropsuit that has a Hacked Drop Uplink on it. When you attempt to restock the entire fitting, it will give you a notice that the fitting can't be restocked because the Hacked Drop Uplink isn't currently on the market.
Rather than preventing you from re-stocking the entire fit, it should restock everything else in said fit and provide you with a notice as to why it couldn't restock that particular module. Otherwise, you're forced into having to restock each item of gear individually.
Re-implement the option to Re-stock Entire Fitting to a certain number. For those of you who don't know what this is, this feature was used a few builds ago in the Beta and was very helpful. I'm sure there are people out there that don't like this style of re-fitting, however, so it should be optional. Perhaps a selected option in the Systems Operations?
Re-stock Entire Fitting to 'x' essentially brings every item to a certain number. So, (let's think of something funny) if I have 6 Scout Type-I Dropsuits and 4 Standard Armor Plates, then used this style of re-stocking to say.... ten, what would occur is that I would have 10 Dropsuits and 10 Armor Plates.
This is contrasted by the current system which would give us 16 Dropsuits and 14 Armor Plates, thereby making it easier to restock gear in a hurry.

I agree. Also since CCP is doing all these 'sales' for suits with equipment that is only available through Merc packs, they should just go ahead and add those items to the marketplace as AUR items (hacked droplink, fused locus grenades, etc)

Alternatively they could just use the ISK variants. |

now they need some type of "lock" for dropsuits you choose "lock" screen comes up with all items in that dropsuit you choose # of items you want to keep stocked in that dropsuit and then you lock it this is where those items aren't free in your inventory but in that suit so losing something from one suit thats in another doesn't affect it! plus you can choose whether you want to dynamic lock or stale lock dynamic lock the suit depletes and stuff and you have to restock the fitting but stale locks it where as soon as you return to your room it asks just permission to restock and hit X or O and bam no more having to mess with dropsuits and items trading places so much! |
