the skill cap is the limit on how much sp you can make in one week, the current limit is 190k sp without boosters and once you've hit the cap you make 1 sp per 1wp up too 1000 wp, so once you've hit the cap the most you can make is 1000sp per game. A corparation is basically what you would call a clan in another game, but you get directors who can basically do pretty much everything the ceo can. you make them by investing sp into the corparation management skill. and you make a squad by going to the squad chat channel, hit create squad, select an empty space and hit invite player, you can then invite someone either through searching their name or by selecting them from your contacts list |

Just my opinion here but, don't waste your SP on corp management. Just join an established corporation, when planetary conquest gets here you'll see why. |

PSN IDs are free, and you can make as many as you want. Unless CCP has changed it, you can only earn passive SP on one character per account. If you're serious about starting a corporation, you should create it with your passive SP alt so you don't have to waste your main's SP on a skill that won't help you in battle. |

edit: but like many others, I advise against creating a new corp and urge you to join one that already exists. At least learn the basics before moving on to make your own.
This is solid advice. I too advise against getting into the Corporate business until you're more acclimated with DUST, there's a lot to learn and the politics of Corporations reach much further than some might realize.
Don't forget that you can purchase AUR through PSN, which you can then spend on Passive and Active skill boosters, giving you a 50% boost to SP per match, as well as boosting your maximum possible SP per week by 50%. When spending your skill points, you want to do your best to stick to one type of playstyle. As someone who has skills spread out in various areas, I can say that you will greatly enjoy having a tight center of skills to work off of, allowing you to hold your own against older players.
That's not to say you can't play the jack of all trades style, I certainly do, just be aware that everything has its pros and cons, and it's up to you to make them work for you. |
