You may temporarily slow down a corp by kicking members or airing their dirty laundry out....but the only way to stop a corp is on the battlefield.
What puzzles me is that CCP seems to be more excited about the soap opera than actually improving gameplay. Sorry Dubs, but this is a MAJOR part of EVE (and Dust). Corps can rise and fall based on sabotage and "airing their laundry out for the world to see". Yes, the battlefield is a good place to settle differences, but the outcome of war is often decided long before anyone starts to pack for the fighting. Also, the entertainment level is too high with these things...anyone want to pop some fresh popcorn? I've got some Quafe for sale... true its part of the universe but at the moment it doesn't matter at all, there is next to nothing at risk for dust corps except for their wallets, and since they don't have to pay for SOV or anything else like that its simply a matter of just getting members to donate to fill it up again. |

It does matter more than you'd think. If you're labeled in a certain way it will affect how others treat you, even how your members treat you. Don't forget, rumor says that FF will be on in low-sec, so watch out for your own people to be enemies as well. I know it matters but as you yourself said, it only matters for your rep right now. |

Apparently the rest of the DUST commmunity is smarter than that. TCD is doomed. I was going to try to make a comeback and then i saw the post below yours... but zion isn't dead yet, it'll survive whatever dust throws at it |

Gunner Nightingale wrote:Ill simply end my night by stating the steps to watching an alliance crumble.
Step 1. Scam a alliance corp and kick all its members out and demonstrate your sabotage skills.
Step 2. Record a meeting of your espionage and leak it for all the world to hear. Helps if it includes juicy tidbits especially stuff about how idiotic and foolish the people involved in step 1 were.
Step 3. Sit back as one member alliance corp oscillates between support and ridicule.
Step 4. Enjoy yet another alliance corp step in and try to do damage control by saying this is childish and beneath the purpose of a game and to settle it in game.
Step 5. Ponder if the two remaining corps prove to be as dysfunctional or decide they are better off without the drama and high tail it out of the sinking ship before it takes them down with it.
Step 6. Go to Costco because you'll need the warehouse sized popcorn to enjoy it all.
why would we crumble? the alliance is still in its early days and every alliance has starting problems particularly when it's everyone's first time forming one. |
