It doesn't mean you can't spell but it does mean that you do not have much experience at reading or writing.
"kappa"

Here's from another if you still don't believe me.
Illiterate- a. Showing or marked by a lack of familiarity with language and literature. b. Violating approved patterns of speaking or writing.
You showed your lack of familiarity with the language of English by breaking the approved pattern by which us normal people write 'psych.' |

Well I didn't know misspelling one word on an internet forum for a video game defined my experience at reading or writing. Oh well, you learn something new everyday.
People trying to act as though they're so intellectually superior on an internet forum, oh you guys slay me.
Kappa is what you type in Twitch chat to get a specific emote. |

Lol, good job. So you search for another definition since the first one you posted was wrong? But thank you for the English lesson.

Multilingualism is the act of using polyglotism, or using multiple languages, either by an individual speaker or by a community of speakers. Multilingual speakers outnumber monolingual speakers in the world's population.[1] Multilingualism is becoming a social phenomenon governed by the needs of globalization and cultural openness.[2] Owing to the ease of access to information facilitated by the Internet, individuals' exposure to multiple languages is becoming increasingly frequent thereby promoting a need to acquire additional languages.

Yeah, you should have said that instead. Like I said, I misspelled a word. You got me there. But in essence, you knew what I meant.
But I'm glad you see what the thread truly is. A troll thread out of boredom.

Let me tell you what happens here. You tryed to make a joke, which turned out not to be not very funny (wast of space and time really). Then someone else made another joke, by calling you out on your spelling, and you then got all defensive about it.
And that is why you are being trolled right now. |

A troll is a supernatural being in Norse mythology and Scandinavian folklore. In origin, troll may have been a negative synonym for a j+¦tunn (plural j+¦tnar), a being in Norse mythology. In Old Norse sources, beings described as trolls dwell in isolated rocks, mountains, or caves, live together in small family units, and are rarely helpful to human beings.

By your own definition here when you called the guy an illiterate bastard you showed yourself to also be illiterate. This is unless you were refering to him as being an illegitimate birth. The meaning of bastard which you are probably trying to use is slang. Slang is not accepted as proper English and often is associated with people who "show a lack of familiarity with formal language and literature."
In reality we are all illiterate when it comes to formal English as society would rather redefine what proper grammar is every generation rather than learn it and use it properly. |
