How you made that out, I will never know. This is more directed towards players. I can't imagine there were any players complaining, obviously it was some dev decision. But if it was based on feedback then
anyone who suggested this is bad and should feel bad.

I don't play EVE but i guess that cruiser was somewhat useful before it got nerfed? dropships were in a crappy state before they nerfed the afterburner and the afterburner was the only module that was consistently useful for dropships, we don't have enough health to take hits like tank's do, and we don't get enough terrain cover to hide behind like LAV's, the afterburner let you get away from enemy AV long enough to rep and regen your shields, and if you're having do that the majority of the match you're not doing the jobs dropships are designed for and the maps too small to actually warrant anyway. now having afterburners is almost as bad as not having them.

Don't forget the Cynabun, Dramamine, and macherial

It more than likely has to do with a change for the overall better, for noe I at least hope it's in a transition state

I think it's going to propel the dropship forward in the future, with a separate mod boosting them straight up

It's a VTOL aircraft, the engines are always pointing downwards as long as you don't go beyond 90 degrees, hence any increase in thrust would increase your height as well
