I can't imagine there were any players complaining, obviously it was some dev decision. But if it was based on feedback then anyone who suggested this is bad and should feel bad.
It has to do with it not filling CCP's idea role for it, it's just in an inbetween state |

Punctuation was highly off but they're refering to the nanofiber and vagabond (crazy fast cruiser) mass nerf I don't play EVE but i guess that cruiser was somewhat useful before it got nerfed? dropships were in a crappy state before they nerfed the afterburner and the afterburner was the only module that was consistently useful for dropships, we don't have enough health to take hits like tank's do, and we don't get enough terrain cover to hide behind like LAV's, the afterburner let you get away from enemy AV long enough to rep and regen your shields, and if you're having do that the majority of the match you're not doing the jobs dropships are designed for and the maps too small to actually warrant anyway. now having afterburners is almost as bad as not having them.
It more than likely has to do with a change for the overall better, for noe I at least hope it's in a transition state |

With it being a VTOL what is preventing a "rotated" phase of flight where the engines are turned completely to the rear to propell the dropship forward faster for travel across wide open areas and long distances? |
