Now it's just one continuous slow burn

It was the only real advantage dropships had, yes it was incredibly annoying when you were trying to shoot them down but it was part of the challenge, you had to time it so he couldn't use afterburners and try to get in a position so even if a your swarms didn't hit your team mates did.

Even if it was aimed at tanks, tanks have a seperate module, ground vehicles have Nitrous and air vehicles have Afterburners. So, why CCP? Why? Why nerf dropships which clearly needed a buff? Please, CCP, I'd really like to hear your answer to this, I bet its hilarious.

So when they buff dropships back to being 50% as effective as they were, people will rejoice and be content with the latest "buff"? Presumably ignoring the fact that they are still worthless vehicles. Well, worthless at the cost of a million a piece.

I want to like piloting I really do. I find the flying bricks endearing, to bad CCP doesn't. I am kind of thankful I did not waste to much SP, only got to vehicle 2. Though part of me is tempted to do it anyway (last thing I get of course) just in case they make things fun to fly. Why field any kind of dropship during any match (pub or corp) being so weak? They offer no advantage that the LAV and HAV can't be used together to achieve. Suppression fire from the tank while using the LAV to get a small group from point A to B. Both cheaper and "easier" to operate. If Trion made the driving system of Defiance like CCP made for Dust I am going to be very upset.

Maps are too small and dropships too vulnerable right now to be truly useful, their only use right now is for getting snipers to high points, spotting enemy movement, hunting down snipers if you have a gunner and AV isn't that bad and providing a tempting target to get the enemy to switch to AV
