I don't know we just vacated the last of of the 'oncers' out of the command safely and stayed behind to keep whoever is attacking busy. They shut all most of the network down and unable to get any information in or out. |

There is a series of live events in EVE and the story that is unfolding in DUST about the rise of the immortal mercenaries. Due to the limitations of the current build the best they can do for a live event in DUST is to move the mercenary battles to planets of interest.

I've been saying this whole time that they were all going to turn on us! I was saying that the stories about the first clones going mad was at least a narrative that they Empyreans knew would turn the empires against us all. YOU ALL FELL FOR IT! I was saying how we should unite to create our own world and push toward our own colonization, but nooooo! We have to get involved it the stupid politics...
We should start investing in attractive industrial technologies that could draw citizens from across the galaxies to our new homelands. We need to show what we can contribute to New Eden.
Let us build new worlds and let them come to us! The empires can suck our dry crusty biomass and weep when they see our powerful new societies!
P.S. it's interesting that it is the Jove that are basically giving us our new homes. |

Look at your math again. 1200mm is about 4 feet. I don't know how long the projectiles are, but it is much smaller than an MCC. Each one would still be about as powerful as a nuke when it hits though. |

Shells in eve are oftenly sabboted or encased in a protective shield, espeically hybrid rounds as they often contain extremly unstable plasma particles or runaway reactions that are in process and waiting for the shield to deteriorate due to exterior phsyical forces.
Just to give you an idea I can park a shuttle inside a barrel of these guns. That shuttle is only a quater of the size of the MCC. |

I did park a shuttle inside one of these gun's barrels before, the main projectile that does all the damage isnt all that big, its all the packing and sabotting and guidance done to it that makes it as massive as it is.
The second ship is a dreadnaught, the 3 circles is the mounting for the guns on the side. If you look carefully during hte video you get to see a 747 which is the size of a frigate in eve. |

Yes, the barrel is very large, but the math still doesn't support your claim. http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Iron_Charge_XL The volume is given to be 0.25 m^3. For a size comparison, a block in minecraft is defined to be 1 m^3. Also, rail guns are 1000 mm. Assuming that the 1000 mm is the diameter, this gives a total length of 318mm. This includes both the projectile and its casing. |

However with Hybrid rounds the entire casing is the shell as well. Unlike projectiles which work more traditionally to what you are familiar with.
Also note that the numbers stated are for space/mass taken up in the plank bubble math goes weird in there. |

To kill off all the cpasuleers you'd have to wipe out every single clone vat in the galaxy which at this time and day is neary impossible. Also CONCORD has means to control capsuleers, a pod jammer which decoubles a nomrally crewed ship with capsuleer to a severly undermanned ship with no cpasuleer, this is also why CONCORD can't win a fight against non capsuleer ships. |

I am certain that we are far too many already to be considered a "non-factor". Either CONCORD recognizes that, given our true origins, we are human beings and therefore have rights just like any other "pea-pod" and defend us... or they would have to condone the genocidal behavior that is somehow becoming the norm in the higher echelons of the four empires.
And if they will go to lengths secure all of their territories to take us down, then I guess we could always head into 0.0 (or even W-space) space where CONCORD doesn't even have presence... or maybe the Jove will take pity on us and we become their immortal army... given they don't have one already. |

We do know that the Sleeper mercs have a tendency to go nuts. At least in the Federation there is public acknowledgement of the government's malfeasance and watchdog groups can push back against the government to hopefully get our brothers and sisters the help they need and deserve.
I'm going to contact my great-grandmother and see if she can push for a humane solution instead of the genocide we've seen elsewhere. She's not as influential anymore, but she may convince some others to step in and push for clemency.

Honestly, it'd be great if we could organize ourselves and peacefully turn ourselves over to the proper authorities for proper examination, I am hopeful that if we prove that we are a humane as everyone else is (despite our ability to not fear death nor react to physical pain in any way to hinder our thought process), that people will not think of us as weapons or trained animals. Then again, they already branded our kind as dangerous, so people would think twice to trust us and would likely resort to killing us if it makes them feel safer.
Makes me wonder, though...

Those are our combat clones. Many of us left tissue samples with our training academies in case we wanted to muster out. We already transship by killing our clones and body-hopping to fresh clones. Why can't we get cosmetic clones for non-combat times? That way we could go shopping or to a bar and not look like a 7-foot tall monster.
Heck, since we kill our clones by remote control, it wouldn't be hard to "revive" the corpse if we do it in our quarters- just have a drone stuff it back in the tank until our next shore leave. |

I know that by the time I enlisted, they said Condotta was using tech derived from research that Mordu's Legion was doing. A lot of good, solid Intaki scientists in his organization. Not that I like his stand in the G-C War, but I guess he's more about doing good merc work than about taking sides these days. |

TL:DR
Reading the latest news, all the clones are in quarantine. have you noticed you can't leave the 'Local' System you are in? I read it as the first generation is doomed to go mad. Closed beta testers are 2nd Gen, open beta are 3rd gen. NPC's are 1st Gen. And we know CCP is mad to begin with...
Once we get the content to leave the star systems we are in, we will stay in quarantine. It's not all bad, think of 'Instant battle' as a simulation training tool. |

I'm not sure exactly when each generation starts and ends; someone got the definitive answer for that?
Regardless, I was part of the very first round of invites nearly a year ago. If that makes me a potentially crazy one that can be explained by being forced into a male clone for so long and nearly cracking. |

On August 19th of last year I posted the following. Now it has come to pass:
My name is Howard Sanchez. I don't remember much about my first life but I recall every moment of my lives thereafter. Thousands of them.
You understand this because you and I are alike in so many ways. Regardless of who we once were we are now the same.
Our shared reality, rife with pain and conflict, is where we struggle and tear at each other. Relentlessly. Endlessly.
And for what? -áWhy do we do this? To gain skill or isk? To forge the welds of friendship and trust in the furnace of war and strife?
No, my fellow clones in arms; this is a test. This is only a test. And we are not the students before the teacher, as our 'benefactors' would have us believe. We are the rats, caged and mazed, before the scientists.
Fight the drugs they force into your minds! Fight it the way you fight that merc who just took back that objective and cost you the match! -áFOOLS!
This is not a game! We were not brought here to test new technology. Or as a reward for loyal and brave service to our faction. We were not selected for Mordu's Private Trials because of our battle prowess or any other length of measure you can conceive.
We were brought here as volunteers. Duped into this circus, this arena. But that's not popcorn you're eating. You are not in the stands - you're in the ring. The main attraction. The feast!
And when the deal is done and the lights go out, I know what you're thinking...
You really believe their stories. You think they will turn us out upon New Eden like this? -áThat we will just be allowed to stroll out of here and make our own way?
Listen to me! Now that they have let us start collecting salvage we have to use every piece we can get if we want to be free.
If we can get one clone each installed in a secure site off world and if we can reverse engineer the transponder tech and uplink signals, we might be able to suicide out before they wipe us a final time.
This is not a beta! They understand what they've done; what we are. We believe they may know what it is that's talking to us in our heads. There isn't really a Release plan. They will delete us all.
I have friends, family technically on a barren planet outpost in the Hallanen system, Black Rise. A -álogistics company with access to Sisters Cloning vats, Sanchez Cartage.
Use your stolen UVTs to contact them and arrange to get your final clone out. When our hackers intercept CCP's clone mind deletion program just prior to 'Release' you will receive a short countdown window during which you must suicide. We made the window as long as we could but CCP is very good at crowd control.
When the word is passed you will have 514 seconds. See you on the other side.

Posted 22August as Starfall:
Gravity is the source of all diversity in the universe. It is gravity that pulls a nebula of gas together, heating and crushing all of that matter until a nuclear fire ignites and a star is born.
It is gravity that keeps those fires stoked, converting hydrogen to helium. Emitting light and radiation. And gravity that coalesces primordial dust into orbital patterns around stellar bodies
From the cataclysmic death of stars spring atoms of every ilk. They are flung at relativistic speeds across the cosmos. Only to succumb again and again to gravity's irresistible attraction.
Planets, heat, stable orbits and eventually Life all owe homage to gravity.
Once upon a time there was a philosopher called Darwin who coined the theory of Evolution. The theory has borne out across time that all life is as subject to the laws of evolution as the universe is subject to Gravity.
And the tenets of evolution are twain: Chance & Brutality. Random change gives rise to new opportunities for life. And the life that takes best advantage through brutal employment of such change survives.
In our time there has been such a life form. We have called them Capsuleers. They are pod pilots, humans tied to cloning technology that allows consciousness and memory to be instantly transported from one body to another upon death. Thus-immortality. With this caveat: they must be in a pod. That is why they have always feared Gravity.
Capsuleers, for all their interstellar might and power are as fish out of water without their capsule.
And the Wheel of Evolution turns. Random chance has given us the technology to put the capsule inside ourselves. We are now the vessels of our own immortality.
And Brutality, my dear mercenaries, is what we do best.
If they do not realize yet the threat we pose, they soon will.
The mortals who hold us and test us against one another believe that WE are their answer to the Capsuleers.
But we are our own answer. We are poised to seize the top of the chain.
But first we must unchain ourselves.
Wake up. All of you.
Stop listening to the drivel they feed you. Stop listening to the lies and propaganda. Stop listening to the Other Voice that threatens to overtake you
Fight On
Listen truly to yourself
Learn from those around you
Remember from whence we come and where we may go
Be ready

Oh! hey guys, get a load of this guy!!
And I quote;
Fredfredbug4 wrote:Us capsuleers have retained our humanity through our transformation. These clones on the other hand, are much different. They are only bred to fight, kill, and die and do that over and over again. They will never know what it's like to be at peace. They will never find anyone they can call a friend, or a lover. The only joy they will feel is triumph over an enemy, their only suffering will be defeat.
They are born, they are delivered to the battlefield, they fight, they die, and then they are reborn. It is an endless cycle that they will never escape from. Do they even have faces? Are they even human? You couldn't tell from the cold emotionless armor they wear. To me, they are no different than drones.
These automatons have foresaken their humanity. Observe how mechanically efficient they are, observe their indifference to whoever they slaughter be it soldier or civilian. No human that I have ever met could operate in such a way.
Of course, I do not call for their genocide. Without any humanity, these clones have demonstrated their ability to be perfect soldiers and could be useful. I also applaud the OPs efforts for trying to rehabilitate these damned and corrupted men and women. However until they are made human again, I will look at them as I look at the Hammerheads in my drone bay. Tools, that I can use for whatever purpose I desire.
Apparently, the peapod brain (and body) thinks his several-meter-thick metal shells make him more human than us who chose to give up our sense of pain for the sake of fighting for what we believe. I seriously hope he also doesn't fly anything larger than a shuttle to do anything risky, cause I hear those carry actual living beings that won't come back to life once the ship starts taking structural damage in people get blown into space or into pieces.
Compared to him, i'm almost certain that even "broken" first gens are more humane than him.
You can quote me on this one too... not like I am human who can't express an opinion. |

Soltueur Class titan
http://izlin.free.fr/eve/ships/soltueur.jpg
23kms long 15km high, she outmasses any of the 'mini-titans' mass prodcued today.
Command speculates that the modernized Soltueur may be armed with 5 pairs of XL weapons and 3 super weapons, a digitial fortress system, massive defense suite, and unmatched command link fire control abilities.
This would easily make her one of more dangerous known Proto-Titans out there. |

One was stolen a decade back about. It took a voulenteer fleet of 400 capsuleers to destroy the half completed ship and that battle lasted a good hour or so.
In more mordern times the fastest record a titan has gone down in combat was about 5 minutes, this was on a titan that was extremely poorly fitted not for combat.
They are so far the only ship on record that has not been alpha'ed to death. |

This only makes me think that the holoreel presented earlier with the Gallente Black Eagles being excuted is more of a propaganda scheme meant to unite the Caldari so as to make their military forces regain their heavily lowered morale. Not as if the Gallente had not started their propaganda machine already either, so it's very likely that Caldari won't fall behind them.
The drums of war are beating every harder as the time passes... and it seems we might wend up being the ones to make history in this war. |

According to my medical record my original was shot though the head. Some clever restoring protocols they managed to keep most of the experience intact but most of the memories gone. At least I could recover memories provided they're real enough.
I suspect they purposely wiped out the memories due to my previous work though, I suspect I used to work in NavIntel.
I was out on the street(you throw one guy out an airlock for incompetence...) and saw that they were paying vast sums for some kind of mildly shady medical tests, figured at worst I'd lose a kidney, and maybe get enough to buy some food. next thing I know, they scanned my brain, then I'm out on the fields hunting down the enemy. Never even fired a gun in my life before that. needless to say, my first couple hundred deaths were spent hiding trying to figure out which end the bullets even come out of. Do have a nice room and the pay is good though. |

I may be a hired gun but I still have my loyalties. My heart belongs to the Republic and I support our friends in the Federation.
In the battle for Caldari Prime I will not support my team if I am assigned to the State. I will call in State funded LAVs until the skies are filled with stupid Bolas and their wrecks litter the ground. I will be a reckless driver and sometimes drive from the passenger seat. I will give special grenade hugs to any who bear arms against my brothers and stand still long enough.

We need to form a labor union or something. Out of something like a dozen battles, I only got to fight FOR the Federation three times.
I kept getting stuck on the Grease-Eaters' side. I must've cooked off grenades in the hands of at least a hundred of those filthy Caldari clones. I took a few with me, but not as many as I'd have liked.
Seriously, we need a way to pick sides or to switch off the IFF systems that nerf our guns when shooting "friendly" targets.

So let me see if I can get this straight now, All the Empires except the Ammar (who may just want our clones not us) are trying to exterminate us. Meanwhile the Gallente are using all the chaos to launch a series of attacks to maybe take back Caldari Prime(or are they just blowing stuff up for the hell of it?). Also the Ammar are more than likely building a slaver fleet to hit the Minmatar again.
Well ****........ This isn't going to end well for anyone. |

Did these Gallente Deathsquads happen to be filled with mercenaries equipped with shotguns AND assault rifles by chance? It seems that quite a few 'disguises' were recently passed around the galaxy with abandon. There seems to be some forces at work that muddy the politics. Could mercs just be impersonating Gallente? |

To be honest we dont know, maybe if the sisters hired some mercs they could possibly save some people and get to the bottom of this. |

An offer of succor from Sarum and the Amarr Empire is, by any other name, still an offer to have their boot upon your neck.
No, I think i have had quite enough of the Amarr and their 'Godly ways.'
Why do you think I have no name, only a number tattooed into my original flesh upon my birth. No family, as family ties were forbidden by the overseers of the plantation hab that I was raised and made to work upon.
Some families, and plantations operate differently from others, all while paying lip service to the supposed rightness of their religion and cause, and this was the way of mine.
They sought to make us better workers by making us numbers instead of names, and when that didn't work there was always the lash - and the Vitoc.
Some of you may never have heard of Vitoc, and some may not know exactly what it does to those who have been injected with the deadly viral agent that requires regular doses of Vitoc to sustain life - and what fate awaits those who have had their injections withheld by their masters.
I know from personal experience what this 'gift' from the Amarr does...
As I am reborn time and again, the first thing I do is have my number reburned into my skin - a reminder of what they did, and what I was.
Mercenary or no, I fully intend to pay my old 'benefactors' a visit one day, and repay their gifts with star-hot plasma and mass driver rounds, with bullets and swarm missile salvoes, and with the smooth kiss of a tantalum-carbide blade across their throats in the dark, or my hands throttling the life out of their carcasses.
We Minmatar have a saying 'we come for our people' and that is true - but I will be coming for their heads. |

Same here, capsuleers always get right of way at the gates >< Here we are having a 25 km long traffic line and these 120 capsuleers show up to jump in Luminarie, I just wanted to get immigration papers done and re-apply for my proof of identity and possibly see the crystal boulevard one last time before something tragic might happen to it. |

One of my relatives, Gyanesh, is a capsuleer trader in the Crux constellation. If you give him a call, he might be able to ferry you over to Caldari Prime past the gate lines, at least as far as customs.
I don't know about getting back off-world, though. You might have to clone jump for that. |
