Hi guys i recently started to play DUST 514 and i have to say it not easy for me to understand how does the system works and the items - suits - upgrades - skill system - etc.
I have spent some time reading in the other topics of the new players, But i would like an experienced DUST player that has any voice program like Skype or any similar one to add me.
Please feel free to contact me.

The best way to get help when starting is to join a Corp. Look in the recriutment thread and read through some post there to get an idea of what that corps about. Once you get into a corp, you will get all the help you could want. Most new eden residents wont help for self serving reasons. If you join a corp it will be beneficial for then to make sure you have a good grasp of the game, and become a skilled player. Unfortunatly I'm stuck at work otherwise I'd be happy to help. But yeah Join a corp, play as a team, and you will notice a big difference on your enjoyment and knowladge of the game. -Delta |

because this is new eden, even scaming is legit (on EVE) there are some out there like myself whod help for nothing at all. but you should look at joining a corp, maybe they might actualy know what there doing. but ill tell you this. dont spend your skill points on random skills. the games designed to have you choose your role(as i am a sniper) |

We in the Outriders prefer Bojo-brand meatshields for our squad. Only the best to catch hot plasma rounds and shrapnel for us.
I'll bring my nanite injector. I promise.
( I hear that Dennie fellow over in the Uni is an OK guy though. We just haven't had a chance to use his expendable clone soldier services yet.) |

I'm too lazy to skype, and I usually separate in-game from irl, but I can help you in game a bit if you'd like. You'll need a mic, but if you have one we can talk a bit in squad chat. |

I would recommend our corp THE DOLLARS, we're full of new players, but many FPS veterans, so we can actually hold our own sometimes. We're all learning and getting better together. Give Tomuke A a shout if you're interested in doing the same. |

It's been a while since i've helped anyone on a personal level. Maybe i'm getting rusty. Hit me up sometime ZateFero.

You don't have to jump into a Corp if you need help... A mic does help with getting verbal assistance. The most important aspect to this fps is watch the tutorial in game... Learn how to use the Neocomm's and don't be shy to talk it up while in game...
I'm out there and have an open channel at D-UNI, I'd be willing to help any players that might need some help to get going...
Learn the Neocomm's... It makes all difference, life and death...

Thanks for your reply, I think you miss-red the 2nd "T" if that will make sense but any way its not a workaround.

Well it has all been said but I will reiterate. DUST University and BojoGÇÖs School of the Trades are the two corps dedicated to training new players, but any player corp will likely provide you with more assistance than the starter corp.
Getting a mic that works with the PS3 is the big thing. Then you can talk to the people you squad with and ask them questions.
I have to say that the good people at BojoGÇÖs School of the Trades seem to be better at good natured trolling than us D-Uni types, but we are still layed back and easy going. Either school would provide you with a relaxed no pressure learning environment. |

From what I'm learning, its best that you gather information on your own. Of course, the most obvious is to learn from your mistakes.
The problem with schools is that everybody is being taught the same tactics. Once they have been learned by the opposing force, it's pretty much a done deal.
I would comb the net if I were you, check out youtube videos, stay in tune with the community here. Mercs often drop lil pieces of valuable information here and there. All you have to do then is compile and infuse the info into what you already learned. That brings a unique and tactical presence to your squad.
Most teachers are going to give you basic common sense stuff and keep their most precious tactics to themselves. They are also mercs, after all. |

If you're looking for a corporation that will help you learn the game, I'd suggest signing up with Dust University. At least to see if we can help you with what you're wanting to do. |
