Derek Barnes wrote:Actually grenade spamming is how I kill the weaker tanks, your explain solves nothing unless its a brain dead tank driver that just sits in one spot without moving around the map. The tanks that sit still are the tanks that I call weak tanks, which are the ones I grenade spam. You're the one that doesn't sound like you know what you are talking about. Which you're the guy that's always in the tank, so that explains why. Grenade spam works to SOLO weak tanks. Squad-based AV nade spam works on good tanks.
Good Forge + Swarm players working together is also a good option. Especially if either/both/someone else nearby has AV Grenades. |

If you want tank fits and av fits go get my book how about when people stay with tanks far in the red zone and you cant get to them and all they do is tank sniping? 2 players. Both skill into LIght Weapon Sharpshooter. One brings Laser Rifle, the other brings Swarm Launcher.
There aren't many redzones deep enough to hide. |

Yeah in Ambush red zone is not that deep so you can get to them but i was playing Skirmish and the red zone is prety deep for the opposing team and there was this tank far into red zone and high on a hill who was sniping objective A , it was easy for him to get behind the hill if there was any danger for him. In another Skirmish game i encountered same move but it was in our team. I found that a prety cheap move. They have a tank that hides as soon as it starts taking fire.
You have a dedicated person directing fire at it so it keeps staying hidden.
Can you say "stalemate"?
The Laser is a viable defense against approaching enemy infantry as well as being available to support the AV guy when the tank pops up again.
The tank will spend the entire match hiding, and achieve precisely nothing. Or if you can lure it a little too far forward before opening fire, you can get lucky and rip it open. Or if your team brings a second AV player with a Forge Gun, you have a decent chance of popping the tank before it has time to run.
And yes, I've done this to a tank before (Laser + Swarm. I was Swarm). I got more kills with my SMG than the tank guy got with his tank. I only had a couple of early-game hack points, and the 100 points I got for kills on softened-up infantry (thank you Laser guy), but I was the primary reason why an enemy had 0 WP and 0 kills even though he spend the whole match in a Gunnlogi. |
