It's official now all the pub matches are filled with egomaniacal kids who makes themselves feel better by using proto gear on people who farm ISK in BPO fits.
Know what? Make me proud guys you need that ego boost more than I do.

I dont see a problem with proto gear. But it does annoy me to see CCP let someone spend real money to use that proto gear at level 3. |

The SP investment makes more difference than the gun does anyway.
If you run Standard gear when you've trained all the skills needed for Proto, you still have better DPS than someone running Proto gear with the bare minimum skills to buy the AUR version. |

I think, to reflect the true meaing of 'prototype', prototype gear should be boosted in every single way possible, but they become unstable. Like, movement could suddenly stop for a few seconds, or your weapon could stop firing for a few seconds, or your helmet just shuts down for a bit and you end up running around like a headless chicken. |

lol I got 2mil in HAVs , half a mil in turrets , half a mil in armor , couple hundreds in shields and yet i dont use a surya, i use a madrugar. |

It adds an interesting edge though, doesn't it? Unlike in any FPS I've played, actual money wasn't on the line when you died. Not that I use this stuff. It must add a little more adrenaline... |

They need to make money somehow, and besides skills are more important than gear, i'm still running around in standard gear and I'm still killing the proto scrubs. |
