The effect looks identical to me. I would prefer a new 'texture' on one of these effects to seperate their looks. Does anyone else think they look too similar? |

It's kinda hard to confuse them because of the size difference and the fact that one has a warning tone... |

You clearly haven't seen the orbitals thrown down by EvE players - they look glorious and quite distinctive. |

I have seen orbital strikes from EvE players and tinting the effect with a different color doesn't change the fact that the 'blast bubble' textures are the same. Maybe make the flux grenades 'blast bubble' look more like arcing electricity to emphasize it's damage vs. shields? Or maybe add a fiery explosion to the inside of the OB strikes for another layer of color and awesomeness? anything that will make it feel like a texture isn't just being copied and pasted, Thanks

I agree. There needs to be some fiery explosions, and also dirt flying everywhere, as well as smoke/dust lingering after the blasts. But these are mostly particle effects... and idk if the PS3 could even handle what im imagining it should look like. Im sure (hoping) once they get most of the game breaking issues panned out, they will start to make things look prettier and enhance the games immersion. |
