So I wanted to share my Grimsnes (Standard Dropship) fitting, and perhaps get some feedback/advice about it. So it is a Grimsnes set up as follows:
High Slots: Mobile CRU
Azeotropic Ward Shield Extender
Low Slots: Carapace Armor Hardener
Jovian Fusion Powerplant
Energized Nanite Plating
Light Effiecient Armor Repair Module
Turrets: 2 20GJ Stabalized Blasters
Eventually, I want to get better turrets (one railgun and one blaster), but the rest of it seems to work well. I have survived an entire Ambush match using this, including the impact of multiple swarm launchers. |

why on earth would you call in a dropship in an ambush match? for one thing there's only one map that even gives you a chance of surviving. But moving on, what's your total ehp? |

I fly derpship on ambush. Haven't had any less luck surviving on particular maps. Some maps sometimes have better buildings between the aerial and ground red zones, which are an advantage, though.
I wouldn't do it with a CRU at the cost of an afterburner, though. |

I am terrible with afterburners. I called it in to act as a gunship, which it did not do very well (in part to incompetence on the part of the gunners (blueberries, of course)). And I forget the eHP right now, but it has a pretty good survivability with the armor modules. |

I would ditch the CRU and practice landing near blueberries so 1 or 2 board the dropship. Since the Grimses is all about armor I would stack armor plates and maybe a hardener if things get nasty along with the repairer. Afterburner since it's gonna be slow and other type of high module, no need for shields imo. |

You'd be better off ditching the powerplant for a plate and learning to use the Nitrous.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll try some of the suggestions out in the near future. |

also if you don't have enough pg to stack armour plates, fitting two hardeners and cycling them can be an effective replacement |
