I like to know how you guys in the dust forum feel about this aurum pack.
So did anyone on this forum brought the 225,000 aur pack?
Did you even think of buying it?
Was it worth it?
Did you burn all the aur in the market yet?
How long do you think it going to last?
Do you wish CCP put something extra exclusive BPC / BPO for being the first 100 buyer?
Did you buy it to support Dust/CCP or just for your self?
Did you tell anyone you brought it of do you feel a shame?
Is it worth the price or is it a rip-off?
Do you think of even buying it?
I only see two person rate it on the US PSN store, did only two person buy it?
Is it worth buying now since the PSN is offering $10 back for every $50 spend this month(spent $100 youGÇÖd receive $20 back)?
Do you feel like trolling this topic?
Do you plan to buy it later?
You can't buy it because don't have the money?

It would be wiser to buy 5 merc packs for $100. 1 30 day booster is worth 30,000 isk so buying just aurum is dumb.
Let alone the grenades and drop up links you get.
Ccp really needs to rethink there Aurum only packs.
I hope we get some new packs soon |

The way I see it, they need to remove all AUR packs and replace them with more bundles or change the formula so that they offer a better value than the merc pack at higher price tiers, especially at the higher price tiers. The alternative would be to remove the Merc Pack from the store and make it only available from a PS3 purchase (but I think the PS3 ones already have a special pack already.
changing the Formula: Right now, the formula goes up to 12.5% bonus AUR at the highest AUR tier. generally, you'd want people to see that the value (price per AUR / AUR per dollar) is much higher than that. If you set it so that the AUR bonus were 10% for every $10 USD, you'd get the follwoing
20,000+2,000 AUR ($10 pack, 2200 A/D)
40,000+8,000 AUR ($20 pack, 2400 A/D)
100,000+50,000 AUR ($50 pack, 3000 A/D) - about 2x merc pack
200,000+200,000 AUR ($100 pack, 4000 A/D) - suddenly Amazon Super Saver Value(tm)
This is how bulk orders work in the real world, so I thought maybe they could consider applying that here. It would help get those with more money to spend spending on the higher tiers of the without making the lower tiers that much different (promoting the Merc Pack as the upsell). |
