I am really hoping once the universe opens up they will make High-Sec off limits to proto gear, just like it is for Cap ships.\\
High sec: Newb area, simple grinding.
Low sec: Where the land grabs are.
Null Sec: where the hardcore land grabs are.
Just made that up in my head right now so, no doubt its full of holes and not completly thought out. |

no i would do it b4 too but it was a bit harder to do it and CCP would get better test results as well seeing what is/isnt OP then just a proto suite guy going in wiping everyone out with a AR and ppl cry its op when really it is not when going against someone with your amout of sp |

My thing, is I just hope they make it so people dont grind on newbs in high sec.
More risk, more reward in low/null. And limit what can be used in Highsec. |

People bring them out fam......and I'm reactive. So, when I see a proto..I will definitely bring mine out as well. Other than trying out a new fit....I don't bring them out. Bseries is more than sufficient |

I'm not sure that basing it on sp is a good idea. i have 2.5 mill sp and no infantry skills, i drive a surya(because i'm a jerk thats why). I seriously doubt that the 2.5 mill skill class could take on my marauder with any great success. in the current matches i have even protobears fail to take it down regularly.
the fix imo base it on the past 5 match average and rate you accordingly also have it track the number of warpoints with various platforms/weapons to avoid all logi/ heavy/ tanker matches.
i choose warpoints because logi's are more accurately ranked with them. |

Meh. Protos suits, TAnks , whatever. Nothing Remote Explosives/Prox mines cant take care of.....
Yesterday i took a squad of 2 protos Assault and 2 Proto Logis with Remote Explosives. 3 times, all 4. Guess they just cant resist trying to kill that weak looking scout after i provoke them a little and run away.... XD
Protos are powerfull, but again. You can get killed by militia gear if the oponent knows his game. Since my incursion AND failure in the ''HEAVY'' world,I've been using ''Dragonfly'' BPO with remote explosives,a militia assault Rifle and some basic mods And doing great....
PLUS proto or not, a good organized squad always beat everything.
Its not OP.Its just better. (And Proto heavy UP, but well). |

The top 25 corps should just have there own server...... maybe as a merc tab... same game modes but only available to the top 25 corps. (Kills obviously). Random teams just like it is now.... I cant imagine how good we would all become if we played against GOOD SOLID TEAMWORK every game.
Not to mention it would be a lot of fun to stomp imps on a regular basis..... |

The only people in proto suits that I laugh at are people that use AUR. 
It's funny to see that they think they are winning when just one death means they lose real money, not just ISK. |

That 66 more shields and speed come at the expense of the suit having less base hp and slower movement speed than a Type-B, so honestly the AUR proto's aren't a while lot better than the Type B's unless you don't have the core skills to fit a Type-B properly. And in that case you don't have the skills to fit a proto properly either so I'm thinking you just got extra scrubby noobs. |

Last night I saw edited from the edited clan thats well know by the way and the guy/gal was running proto Aurum suits and had an Officer weapon AR Balac and for all that pub stomping the guy/gal goes 5 and 5....WTF?? five kills and five deaths in a group of ve four or was it five folks from the same clan and just me and a bunch of blahberries.
Useless blueberries.........too many words in that sentence.
Five kills for all that gear lost.......pathetic. |

yea but you start matching proto suite guys against new players there just not going to want to play anymore corp matches is one thing pub is another you wouldnt want to go against a proto suite guy when you were just beginning |

I'm not dismissing a players personal skill; Instead I am merely suggesting that it is enhanced by the gear one uses. When I first started I was hovering around a 0.5 k/d ratio running around in militia gear. Fast forward a couple of weeks and here I am sitting at a 2.0+ k/d ratio in my assault type 2 with a gek and the only thing that's changed is my gear. I've been playing the same way the whole time so it's not that I've become a better player. Yet the only times I see a militia weapon kill me is either when I'm already lost half my life, I'm ganged up on, or because a grenade went off nearby. The rest of the time it's name brand advanced+ weapons. I've started shooting people in the back of the head with my gek only for them to turn around without strafing and cut me down with their douvall before I even had their shields down.
I'll be the first to admit that I just need to get better; however that includes getting better gear. Is the top notch gear op? Sure, why not, who gives a f***. That's how it's meant to be and sooner or later the majority of people will be running around in it ;and suddenly it's back to players skill and me sitting at a 0.5 k/d ratio. |
