It is 2,5 sec on the assault and you get a bonus of 25% at level 5 forge gun. I have tried to time it with level 4 in Forge gun and the charge time is approximately 1.9 - 2.0 seconds. With level 5 forge it should be 1.875 sec. Fast enough to get three shots at a tank before it escapes unless he has spotted the shooter, their blasters and missiles hurt allot.
The breach forge has a 6 second charge and you cannot move while charging, meaning I have to stand still facing the tank for 4-5 seconds (charge time reduce for having level 4 forge gun). Or standing somewhere ready to fire and waiting for the tank to turn the corner usually die 3 out of 4 times before I get the first shot . Not very healthy with the enormous amount of snipers and scouts running randomly around.
It is much easier with the assault forge, two quick shots and the tank is running which give the opportunity for a third shot before it is away, enough to kill lesser tanks. The high skilled tankers just leave for a minute and they are back in full force. Works best if there are swarm launchers ready waiting to fire when the forge have removed the shields. |

The breach can max deal (2100 * 1,25) + (2100*0,21) + (2100*0,15) = 3381, this is including 25% from weapon proficiency, two complex damage mods and 15% from the forge proficiency skill. This is for the level 2 Breach Forge Gun, cannot remember the stats for the level 4 Breach Gun, it will be +300-400 all included. It could have been a Proto Forge Gunner with maxed skills and three damage modifiers, he would be close to 4000 in total damage with the breach . Very risky with the high cost of the dropsuit and only the sidearm as protection vs infantry. Hitting the back of the tank is at 150%, that could have been 6000 in damage.
It is difficult getting a shot of with the Breach and I personally only use it rarely. |
