I agree with this.
And I'm sure Diggy is tired of AFK farming for 20+ minutes at a time too. I'm sure he'd rather only have to for 10 minutes at a time. |

Well the thing is devs wont add a game mode that is just point blank, for instance- free for all, or capture the flag. The game mode has to make sense. Already ambush is closest to team death match.
If the game mode actually made sense- capture this objective move onto the next one like Skermish 1.0 (correct me if im wrong) which was in closed beta a while ago - or a made sense mode similar to CTF- capture an object bring it back to your Base- some game mode that would make sense not just full blown modes like cluster **** COD. |

If your Skirmish match goes 20+ minutes it means it was prolly a good even match. I like those matches way more than the 10-15 minute clone count losses and MCC destroying butt whoopings. |

I would like to see something similar to Killzone 2's Warzone, where in a single match there is several different rounds, each time-limited. So say the game starts with ambush for 10 minuets, whoever depletes the most amount of clones wins that round, then it could switch to a 2 or 3 point skirmish or something, then after that it would goto another round of a different game mode. So on and so forth.
Whoever won the most from all the rounds combined, wins the match. |

King of the hill game mode?
Having to hold a position for a certain amount of time to acquire points. Let the objective area de-spawn and re-spawn in random locations. This keeps it nice and exciting so that you have to keep moving, and so you can't just lock down the area for a quick win. It should be faster than skirmish, but not stupidly short either.
Holding the territory gives you 10 points every 10 seconds, a player death gives 1 point to the enemy team. After 60 points have been accumulated from the spot, then it will de-spawn and appear in a different location. This means the TOTAL points accumulated on the spot. If team A gets 30 points off of the spot, then team B pushes them off of the spot, then team B can only get 30 points from the location before it de-spawns.
The area to be held should never re-spawn in the same location. It can re-spawn there after it has visited another location on the map, but there should never be consecutive objectives on the same spot.
Maybe a total of 360 points to win? This way, even if a team is constantly on he points, the game should last about 6 minutes or less. Probably less, since there will be a lot of deaths. |

Skirmish 2.0 *IS* territories. Would be better to have the rush mode back ala skirmish 1.0. |

Actually,All they need to do is bring back the original game mode from last summer. That mode had an attacking team and a defending team. Would be real nice to have that map back as well.
PS,I never understood the whole CTF mode.I get it,but it's really stupid for people to be fighting over damn flag.I liked what MAG did where you had to capture the enemies prototype vehicle.There needs to be something like that,or steal something else that's significant to the game,but anything but a dumb ass flag. |

I agree. The "CTF" mechanic is fine, just don't let it be an actual flag :P Some sort of data-disc containing valuable information would be a good way to inject some purpose, and can very easily be explained as happening over and over again. |

heres the issue with many game types, the more you have the more you spread the player base.. if you don't have many to start with spreading them across more servers is counter productive. At this stage adding another game type would be truly detrimental.
Besides BF3 just launched a CTF... and its horrible.. I hate that game type.
I would like something like Domination with areas that are capped quickly, perhaps small infantry only maps.. that could work, 3-4 objectives, nothing big like turrets..? |
