I know squad leaders can give orders and designate enemies to attack but I would like all players to be able to tag enemies as a threat.
For example If a assault player (Non squad leader) sees an enemy moving towards a null cannon but is out of range to shoot he would press R2 then R3 select say GÇ£Enemy ThreatGÇ¥ then team players in the area would be able to see the treat for a limited time and ace according.

I had an idea a while back for a list of buttons on the command wheel that could be utilized by all squad members. These would be requests for things like cover fire, armor rep, or - as you said above - an enemy spotted button. |

aiming at enemies spots them for your team, comes in handy to point out enemies snipers in the red zone that need 2 die by means of friendly snipers |

@ Johnny Guilt - Yes squad leaders can tag a enemy as a target, but i'm talking about spotting a threat any one should be able to spot any enemy that is out of range of there weapon and to say look out.
for example just the other day i was pinned by a sniper he was out of range but if i popped out i could see him, now if i could of tag him a friendly sniper could of seen the threat and took him out. instead i made a run for it and ended up dead. |

Ehh I specialize in stealth but people that look at me already tag me on th radar letting people perma tag me makes the stealthy scout even less viable.
I say no.

@Val'herik Dorn - it wouldn't be a permanent tag it would only last a few seconds to warn others of you presents. Only squad leaders are able to but a permanent target on you. |

I don't care if they make it an equipment gun, we need 'tagging'.

You do realize that as soon as you spot the enemy, he/she will appear in the TACNET and stay there until you stop looking at them, right? |

They're asking for active tags so that when they duck a corner they dont dissapear off tacnet.
A target painter for example could explode one target's sig radius to the point it pulses on tacnet and it becomes easy to lock onto. |

@SickJ - that is the type of thing i'm talking about, to be able to say hey there's a heavy coming our way or even better lookout there's a guy camping in this area.
@Maken Tosch - Yes i realize when you see an enemy he visible on the TACNET, but tagging him would give other plays more of a indication that a threat is near by. |

I think if not implemented very carefully, a mechanic like this could render snipers who depend on stealth obsolete. More effective evasion mechanics may need to be implemented to balance it... |

@2100 Angels - I don't think it would right now a squad leader can put a target on a enemy and the target stay until the squad leader changes his order or the order is completed. also a good sniper wouldn't give away his location so in turn you wouldn't be able to tag him and as i said before with my idea you non-squad leader would only be able to tag enemies for for a short period of time (say 10 seconds maybe less) |
