This usually only happens in particularly laggy matches, but since the latest update, it's been happening ALL the time.
Try to hack, hold circle.
Aiming with a Sniper Rifle, hold L1.
Either of these "hold button" functions regularly cuts out during gameplay. While scoped in (particularly problematic with the aforementioned Sniper Rifles), the viewpoint frequently cuts back to an unscoped view. When trying to hack alone, it's almost impossible to actually complete a hack - usually taking at least 3 times as long as SHOULD be required because of the repeated resets that happen. during the hack. If I start a hack and someone else shows up to back me up, I will ALWAYS, without question, end up with a Hack Assist even though I was the first one to initiate the hack.
I've tested this with 4 different controllers, 2 of which are less than 3 months old, and all of which work perfectly on every other game I own - including other multiplayer games where I have to hold a button down to perform a function.
I can say with absolute certainty that the problem isn't something at my end, and it worked (mostly) fine before the latest update. There were times - as mentioned, mostly in laggy games) - where this would happen before, but it's become much worse lately. |

...it's not the controller.
The headset (a cheap Bluetooth one) has been plugged in on charge for half the night without making any difference from when it was turned on, so I'm certain that isn't the problem either - although it's good to know in case that's been making the problem even worse. I'll see if I can find a way to gauge that, and might be able to get somewhere. |

And bumping this because it's still happening, and I'm sure I can't be the only one it's happening to.
Although I do have to mention that it was a lot less of a problem today than it has been at any point since the last update - and this with the headset running the whole time I've spent playing, which helps to assure me it's not the headset causing the problem. |
