But in all seriousness, I feel Shield tanks are better at scaring infantry by being this fast-moving bundle of dread that they can't kill with their AV 'nades.

Armor=AI

Personally I went Shield to wreck other tanks

Madrugar is easier to use.

I personally like armor, more HP overall though at the moment armor kinda gets screwed by most AV, as they are very weak against Remote Explosives, Proxy Mines, AV Grenades, and Swarms, all because they're explosive damage. Forge guns are Kinetic, which is armor's second worse damage type next to explosive damage. Basically Armor is getting the ****** end of stuck due to the act that almost all AV weapons are highly effective against it.

Now the addition of the Plasma Cannon will be interesting, Shield tankers have enjoyed a lack of Thermal and EM AV weapons (save Flux grenades, which are more difficult to use than AV's) so the addition of a light Thermal AV weapon to shoot at those shield tanks might change a lot of people's minds about which tank type to use...but we'll see.

In most cases, my Madrugar has easily beaten most shield tanks with the exception of the Shield Railgun Glass Cannon, which is a tricky one to counter because it's DPS is so insanely high. Generally speaing though, armor tanks are take a pretty hefty beating and have enough EHP to survive Warbarge Orbitals, where shield tanks can stack on a lot more DPS and outrun incoming damage due to high acceleration. I think each serve their own purpose and have a place on the battlefield, it's just a matter of personal preference.

I had the pleasure of getting into the tank of mr. zitro and wow, thing's a beast. You have to think that most AV are good vs armor (missiles, grenades, explosives). But if you want to use blaster as main gun the Gallente tank is the best choice because of the 4% bonus for blasters. I'm personally going to wait for the railgun tank since Caldari tanks get bonus for the useless missiles, and I'm loving railguns overall.
