Currently, the skills you have (i.e. 5% reduction in CPU requirements) are not reflected in the item's fitting requirement.
If you are trying to fit an Assault Rifle that uses 50 CPU, and you have 2/5 in Light Weapon Upgrades (5% CPU reduction per level), your total reduction is -10%, and the fitting requirement for the gun should appear as 45 CPU.
Not having these fitting numbers means that it is really hard to add/substitute fittings without hitting your cap... and as of yet, there is not DUST514 equivalent to EFT.
Therefore, having your skills impact how the fitting requirements show on the item would be a great help (and damage mods increase DPS, for example) .

Ehh I can do the math quick enough some pepple I understand can't or don't want to but the amount of work it would probably take makes it a ways off if they do implement it.
Trial and error still work best imo.
Once you get used to it its actually easy enough to do.
Or start with what you want and work backwards replacing stuff as you go till you get a suit your happy with that works. |

I'd say we should see both the original and modified numbers, e.g.:
CPU 50 (45)
That way you can see the baseline when you're discussing an item with someone who has different skill levels.
If this is implemented, then it could potentially be implemented for everything that gets modified by a skill (although that's a bigger job than just CPU/PG). |

Why not, +1.
Though guys a ver easy way to tell if something fits or not is this.
When you go to edit a fitting and you select whatever slot it is you want to equp something with,While scrolling through your available items you can equip in the slot, if you look closely there's 2 bars surrounding your characters dropsuit. 1 for CPU and another for PG. These bars will decrease or increase as you add or remove items from slots. Once a bar turns red it means that that Item exceeds the amount CPU or PG your has available.
If you already knew this then sorry, just trying to help. |
