During a skirmish map on Skim junction i hacked a large railgun installation near C.
Shortly after it, someone began shooting with his Swarm launcher at the turret, but the turret didn't receive any damage. That person shot at least a couple of minutes directly at the turret. |

Its a glitch with some of the installation with objects in front of them. the objects could me a metal plate or just a bumpy enviroment. The swarms always track to the bottom. So it is actually hitting the obstacle rather than the installation. The best way to taken them out is get elevation. The closer the angel is to 90 degrees the better. |

Enemy, obviously.
@Sentient might be a possible reason, although the enemy ran around and tried different angles. He might've been just extremely unlucky . . . |

Like Sentient Archon said. The swarm does lock to the bottom of installations. You may even get the nice little orange hit detection. I also noticed, using a forge gun, that on installation wouldn't take damage. Figured it was the whole hit detection issue. I ended up working my around to the side with nothing blocking the view, and it took care of the problem. I have also seen this with vehicles. Shot a LAV with forge, and it took no damage, even though hit detection showed a hit. Figured it was terrain 3D issue, and moved around, and 1 time shot took care of it.
Hit Detection seems to be the most common issue. |

i think you hit the driver/gunner, i have not seen any case of a hit on a LAV with no damage that this wasn't the case. btw yes swarm launchers do attack the base but some bases are underground along with some other installations so the angle idea is forcing the swarms to hit higher due to top down angle on the turret so getting closer firing up in the air as well helps. |

If it was between 6pm and 7pm UK time it was likely me shooting you, did that to a guy in a turret for a min or two before he blew me to hell. Wasn't sure what was going on. |

try aiming straight up real quick after you lock but before you fire, it'll give the swarm a little elevation.
though you definitely can still get stuck hitting hills and crap :\ |

The trick is the Hit Box is the foundation of the Turret and is nearly indestructible. The Turret can be killed but you must get the Swarms to come Down at the Large Rail Gun Turret. Either jumping or having a height advantage will solve it.
