My logibro currently uses the armor repairer and armor plates. Armor repairer is a must I figured. Since the dropsuit has high CPU/PG and it has an AR it doesn't need CPU nor PG modules, at least for now. Was thinking about those mobility modules...any suggestions??? |

Extra stamina is always helpful as a Logi, to keep up with your squad and start helping as soon as they're under fire. |

armor plates might slow you down a bit too much. i like the shield regulator instead of plates to reduce the time before your shield starts coming back. |

If you want to negate the slowing effect of the plate, simply remove it and add another repairer. This means you'll want to play much more cautiously, however. Which means sticking with a squad or a decent heavy as much as possible.
I've never used stamina or speed modules, because I reason to myself that people who need revives aren't really moving and people who need repairs usually hide behind friendlies and don't move. I try to stay with that mass of blue dots and rush about helping everyone, but in the chaos occasionally the mass will disperse and you'll find yourself alone. In this case, perhaps it is useful to have some speed modules to keep moving and regroup. I find that if I make one person my main objective to support (usually the top player or squad) and treat all else as secondary, I stay alive longer and I don't require speed modules to keep up cause I'm always making sure I say near the one group.
But if you go well with the speed modules, post it up here. I'd be interested in learning about how much of a bonus they actually provide. |

I like the added stamina, gives me a chance to roll between two close squads if arround, and also to get away if I turn a corner on a heavy by accident. It also helps to get into a lanking position quicker and gain some kills now and then or move out of AR spray focused on heavy to reduce and get his kills quicker. Flux grenades drop shields and HMG mows them down. |

Armor repairer / cardiac regulator.
That's my main low slot build and it has served me extremely well.
Armor plates sound good on paper but are usually a bad idea in practice. Logi's run slow and are bigger targets. Most decent players will prioritize killing the Logi out of a group first. One of my Logi builds w/527 hp (repairer/basic armor plate) will only survive a split second longer than a more mobile one w/429 hp (repairer/cardiac regulator). Not a worthwhile tradeoff for the armor plate. (And a terrible tradeoff when 4-5+ deaths might put me into negligible profit/negative ISK for the match depending on my loadout.)
The only time I do run an armor plate is if I team with a heavy and plan to stick with him/her for the entire match. If that's the case, I don't need the mobility and the extra hp would be more beneficial.
Here is where the cardiac regulator shines. When I sprint around a corner and come face to face with a heavy or a large group, I can get away faster. With an armor plate, I won't have enough steam left to jump over a rail with low stamina and sometimes it can keep me from jumping one even with full stamina, period. I was playing around with an armor plate build recently and was constantly frustrated in my inability to stay with the group. My squad was calling for nano's and a revive and my dumbass was having to run the long way around and down the stairs when I normally could have just jumped and cut across; making a 7 sec trip almost 20 sec. It also helps to get across long open spaces faster on certain maps where snipers are shooting at me from all directions. I know for a fact that if I did not have the extra stamina, my slow ass would have been grass many, many times in those situations.
Although rarely, I run 2 armor repairers if I carry a Mass Driver and plan on spawning into a highly contested area where there will be a lot of CQC. Since I sometimes damage myself, the faster armor regen keeps me up in situations that I would not normally have recovered from.
My job is to stay alive to keep the team alive. My play style dictates mobility over hp. |

Stamina vs speed? Which one is more useful for a logi? I'm thinking speed since I can manage the stamina well and I use an AR.... |

Can you fit a kinetic catalyser?
I find them to be fairly resource-heavy, but I don't have the numbers for that at the moment.
I go with stamina simply because I can't fit more speed. |

Right now he can fit the basic kinetic catalyzer, although he isn't using complex shield extenders atm, but he will. Combat Engineering is still at level 3. |

I am still waking up, so let me know if these calculations are wonky.
Base value of a Logi suit, let's say 6.6m/s.
Base stamina 120, translates to 12 seconds of sprint time which means you sprint 79.2m on a full bar of stamina.
(Here is where I make some assumptions because I don't have the numbers.)
Presuming that kinetic catalyser and cardiac regulator increase speed/stamina respectively by 5%, you can choose between increasing your speed to 6.93m/s or increasing your stamina to 126... both of which increase your total sprinting distance to 83.16m. That's the max you can run. The only benefit a kinetic catalyser has over a cardiac regulator, then, if this numbers are right, is that it is the best way to quickly escape fire and to cover short distances. It also means you get to your destination 0.6 seconds earlier if you are sprinting long distance... but I don't know how recovery of stamina with a greater stam pool might affect running further than 83m.
Up to you whether it's worth the (another assumption) increased PG/CPU. |

i was gonna say the same about a double repair logi but i would think you would want better than just the basic repair mod.. your actually passively tanking while taking damage it is being repair simetaneously |

One Logi Bro I know uses the fancy Hives that repair Armor. Skilled into it early and now he can drop two of them at a time. Logi Bro is my second skill set so I am not there as yet. It is a bit of a walk from Sniper as it turns out.
The interesting part, related to this discussion, is he doesn't use a Low Power Slot for Armor Repair like I do. It does put him at a disadvantage (to me) if the Hives have been dropped. But he gathers more WP than I do on a regular basis, so what do I know?
I find that using the Sever Suit with Stamina will let me keep up with a Heavy and not get that far back from the Squad. If they are working together and not leaving the Heavy in the Dust as well that is.
As always, experiment. But try them out long enough to figure out your tactics and alter them if need be. |

One repairer is good, two is a waste. Gain something else to boost your suit. You shouldn't ideally be taking heavy damage that requires high repair anyways. If you are, you're doing Logi wrong.
with the Sever suit you can easily fit an armor repairer, cardiac regulator, nano injector, nano hives/drop uplink, armor repair tool, damage modifier and shield modifier (extender or recharger). plus your weapon. WITHOUT any major SP to get there.
As you up the skills to get better hives, injectors, whatever, your CPU/PG usage decreases so you can then up your weapon. All while saving ISK if you spend the AUR for BPO's
For the longest I ran Sever suit militia light damage modifier militia shield extender exile AR militia focus grenades BPO injectors BPO hives BPO rep tool militia repairer militia cardiac regulators
Did it cost AUR, yes. Did it cost ISK, no. I now have >7 mil ISK and can afford what I train into as I grind SP to get into better gear. Plus it makes for a decent fodder loadout if we get redlined or I'm sucking it up that battle.

Fast Eddie makes a good point. If you are sticking with a squad that is verbally communicating, unified in its movements, and has a heavy the armor is your best bet. Play with the Cardiac regulator when you go with randoms.
As a note, skill into your advanced tier for your dropsuits and get the Type II suits. They are hella fast and fun to play with for that reason. Add a cardiac regulator to it and you'll be the first on the scene almost anywhere. include a hacking module and pretend you're a scout, but with your added suit hacking bonus you can turn over objectives pretty fast.
Armor repper... never leave home without it.

I have been running the Type II suit a lot recently. It was really hard to give up an equip slot but the increased speed makes a big difference. It's nice to keep up with the assault guys for once. |
