I have noticed that with my main character (1st character slot) that when I log into the game at times that I get the indicator for a "new message." When I go to check my new mail I read it to discover that it is actually a message that I sent a friend the day before. It is from myself and to myself and it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. This isn't my friend e-mailing me back. It is the same message I sent him. Just thought I would point this out and see if anyone else had this issue.
This doesn't show up as a "sent" message, this shows up as a new message in my inbox. I also sometimes see the "new message" indicator show up and when I check my inbox, nothing is there and there is nothing in my notifications. |

Known problem.
This is related to EVE email connecting to DUST. You might Search for some variation on "empty email" or such. I do not have an EVE account and the only EVE players I communicate with only do it through their DUST toons. Thus, I have no recollection of the resolution, if any exists. |

If this is a known problem is it known whether there is a solution? I don't play EVE online at all so I've got no idea why that would affect me.
Secondary issue I have seen is that my inbox from one of my characters is getting carried over to another alt character. I logged out as one, quit the game, rebooted, came back in as another and that character supposedly has a message. I open the inbox only to find out before I got kicked from the server that the message actually was for the previous character I was playing with.
The whole e-mail system seems to be a chore to use. Not very user friendly. Granted I am pretty much a novice to FPS games and am not exactly the most technically savvy, but this seems to be a whole lot more difficult to use than it should be. |
