The k/d leaderboards are clogged w characters no one is playing with and messing it up for the rest of us. Congrats on getting ONE game at 12-0 or whatever but if that's a fluke and the only game you played you shouldn't still be up there. Not really sure how to fix it, maybe just remove anything that's only played one or two games? |

KDR stats are a bit wonky because of it. No need to wipe the boards they just it set so you're required a minimum number of kills to register, that's all. |

Minimum total kills could address this, honestly tho the KDR leaderboards have a more fundamental problem. They increase the distortion caused by focus on KDR.
Now if they were War Points per Death or ISK efficiency ratio (i.e. value of assets destroyed vs value of assets lost) then those would provide something meaningful with the context of the game but KDR alone is essentially just an (easily manipulated) e-peen stat, not an actual representation of something relevant.
Continuing to have boards listing KDR in such a prominent way is a disservice to the player base, particularly those new players who are coming from other fps games as it provides a misleading sense of importance to the stat.

I like the WP/D stat idea, gives the frontline guys an interesting addition but i would think it would get clogged up much the same way as KD has. |

I prefer the efficiency ratio but that would be skewed by militia wearers. The k/d boards may b skewed but the w/l ratio board (more important than k/d) is totally messed up, after all theirs people with w/l ratio in their 100's with only 1 game played. |

My personal opinion on Leaderboards is this:
1) If you get points for doing something, then I should get points for stopping you.
2) Anything that gives a character points, should have a Leaderboard associated with it.
KDR has it's place, and it needs to be put in its place in this game. W/L is more important that KDR, but not nearly as important as how well you work with your team. Points earned from Teamwork should always take more precident than anything else. |

Well team work points are complex after all all points are technically for helping the team (yes killing people helps the team as much as reviving the team)
But their should be some implementation of a logibro hall of fame, after all a good logi is a rare sight that some people don't believe exists, therefore everything should be done to highlight these wonderous creatures.

Agreed, but I was referring to points earned from things like resupplying your team mates with a nanohive, spawning team mates with a Drop Uplink/Dropship, repping team mates, etc. Basically, more stats for more things. Almost everything an idividual does can help the team over all, but these things are usually from players who've gone out of their way to do just that. |

Not quite sure how to implement extra teamwork pts but an interesting idea, personally i play as a sniper always have so for the most part I don't really get much in the way of pts for capturing stuff and don't really work directly w a squad per se. I do end up playing a far more defensive role than people seem to think though. I can't even count the ammt of times I've tagged someone before they could capture a point when none of our guys were around. All of which is part of teamwork just not sure how any of it would work into the equation. |

I know that's what you meant but its awkward to do that in a collective, individual leaderboards for each aspect would BE good though, just likke on BF3 you can find 3rd party sites that show ranking in each aspect of the extensive aspects of the game.
So you could find most resupplies, most revives, most spawns on uplink, etc. |

I also usually play as a sniper, so let me give you some examples based on that. Some of these have been mentioned in other threads.
1) Spot Bonus: You "Tag" an enemy player and if your team kils him, you get 5 points. 10 if it was your own squad that took him him down.
2) Defenisve Kill Bonus (can't think of a better name): If you take out an enemy within a certain radius of an objective, you get 10 points, 15 points if they are currently trying to hack the objective, with the 10 additional points if your squad leader has also issued the Defend order. 5 points if they are currently hacking a friendly controlled installation.
3) Team Mate Saved Bonus: If a friendly has been reduced to 25% armor, or less, and you kill the red dot shooting at him: 5 Points. 10 points if the friendly was also a squad mate.
These three examples (Spot Bonus, Defensive Kill Bonus, and Team Mate Saved Bonus), would have leaderboards associated with them. Allowing people to check to see whether or not you're doing your job as a sniper, other than just killing people for KDR. They would show that you do indeed defend objectives/installations from falling into enemy hands, that you call out (over chat, using the "tag" function, or both) enemy positions for you team mates, and that you watch your teams back when they are in danger.
This is what I mean what I mean by "points earned by teamwork". Not that there should be a single Leaderboard entry titled TEAMWORK, but that there should be more entries on the Leaderboards that are earned by working as a team. |

^THIS^ whole thing is a good idea. I enjoy having a decent kd but that's not what I'm there for, My job's to save my teammates a$$ whenever possible and teach the other side that the open area sprint to capture the objective is a bad idea. I'm back-up w the idea to ruin the enemies afternoon firmly in mind. A.K.A. learn to duck

it should refresh every month
It would give a better gauge of current skill, I am pretty sure when I started the game I was much worse than I am now. Though some players got their bad period done during closed beta.
A better power level system should be in place based on average WP gained per hour, and further refined by opponents beaten and their power level. |
