hey. i like this game, it's fun. i'm a player willing to spend money to a degree on what i find entertaining.
BUT somethings a little bit odd with the current booster system and i'd like to voice my opinion.
atm, we have access to a mercenary pack that gives us 30 days active and 35 days passive boost for 20 dollars (i'm in NA, sorry for not including your currency if you're elsewhere.). normally you'd pay 15$ for a monthly subscription to most pay to play (p2p) games on the market, but you get some bpos and other stuff.. grenades or something i can't remember.
now.. i'm not sure if this mercenary pack will last forever. if it goes, what's left is 20$ for 40,000 aurum.
that's 5 boosters.
you'd need to spend another 10$ to get 20,000 aurum to get another 2 boosters and be left with 6,000 aurum.
7x7=49/2= doesn't even cover a month for 30 dollars.
... so.. is the mercenary pack staying forever? if it's removed:
exactly how much do you expect the customer to pay to have both boosters over the span of the year?
are you guys planning on releasing 30 day boosters to be comparable to other subscription models?
does anyone else feel that if the pack was removed that spending close to 30+ dollars a month is a little bit extreme? i mean especially considering that having both boosters over the span of a year compared to someone who doesnt equates to something like 8 million skillpoints, and comparing that to someone who's using one or the other is about 4 million skillpoints difference.
i dunno.. thought i'd just voice that as it kind of seemed a bit odd and a little overpriced if that merc pack was removed. even if the merc pack wasnt removed i personally think 20$ a month is a little bit high.. especially if someones considering to have another account with boosters as well. |

i liked that post, it gave me hope that people really understood what i was talking about..
but if you where to use isk to buy active boosters lets say, and then you actually paid 20 dollars to get 5 7 day boosters.. i don't know.
you'd spend 180 dollars or 15$ a month for 357 days... but only receive one of the two boosters for that year or have both for half a year...
so you'd pay a subscription but still be required to buy the other half of the subscription from the market place with in game currency. sounds like a pretty big investment if you ask me. if you wanted to pay for both itd be 360$ a year or 30$ a month to basically have what looks like the subscription in game.
IF THE MERC PACK WAS REMOVED. with the merc pack is 15$ a month, which is pretty acceptable compared to most games on the market.
hopefully they introduce something similar to the mercenary pack again but for boosters or keep it all together. |
