There are some stats that weapons clearly have but aren't listed. I'd like to get some information on the ranges of the different variants of turrets both large and small, particularly blasters. Do advanced stabilized blasters have a longer optimal than regular stabilized? etcetera.
For missile launchers, do the high velocity "unerring accuracy" ones have less spread when fired while moving?
Do advanced Laser rifles have an increased optimal range over the basic one?
In the description the vehicle powerplants say they increase speed and torque, do they in fact increase top speed or only your acceleration?
Why do blasters get a max range efficiency against a turret installation of 40%? Same for why do small blasters have a max efficiency against other vehicles of 40%?
Are certain areas of vehicles more vulnerable, the way headshots deal more damage?
Finally do you have to look at a vehicle with your main turret in order to lock it for the purpose of remote reps? If so is there a way to/possibility for a way to auto lock a previously locked target as soon as it comes in range. This would allow you to lock an HAV with your tank and start repping it then break range and do your own thing or sweep a corner and then immediately begin locking them again when they re-enter range without the need of wasting turret time looking at them and back.

Do advanced Laser rifles have an increased optimal range over the basic one? => I think yeah. not by much but with skills you still feel it. Check the training ground, there's a stickied thread that has all ranges.

Blasters have a short range compared to other turrets. And if you fall below optimal, efficiency drops.
Are certain areas of vehicles more vulnerable, the way headshots deal more damage? => The back is supposed to be more vulnerable but never checked for an actual multiplier

Bottom line, here's another good thread that shows once more to CCP that STATS MATTERS
EVE has EVERY bit of information about EVERY items in the game cause they are important. How is it possible for a game like DUST to not give damages for AV nades against vehicles, not giving optimal and max range for weapons (especially laser), not showing updated DPS and damage per bullet in the fitting screen, Headshot bonus damage, efficiency against shield\armor multiplier etc... |

Yeah...for a game born from EVE, aka Spreadsheets in Space....people like numbers and tables, in fact we pretty much get off to that crap. Id very much like to see the effective range of Blasters and the Stabilized versions |

I would like to see the effects my shield regulators have on my shield recharge delay. I'm just taking it on faith that they're actually working. |

Most if not all of this can be tested.
I would encourage each of the corps to stage corp battles with their Jr/Alt corps and work on these.
It's not like we couldn't just transfer the funds back and forth between alts.
Example for those that this is not obvious.
Call in armor tank. Have enemy(alt corp) throw standard AV at front. Record damage, rep. Throw AV at side. Record Damage, rep. Throw AV at tail. Record Damage, rep. Rinse Repeat Three times for consistency. Then move on to higher tear AVs. Then move to Swarms, Forge, Proxy, Demo, Etc.
Repeat process for Shield Tank.
Have someone plan out all test you would like to perform prior to match. Make sure everyone is ready with the fittings they will need.
There is already this dev post.
I realize that hard stats from the Devs would be better, but you can get a good +/- for most of this stuff.
Remember we are beta testers. Every now and then we should actually beta test. |

I am well aware of how to conduct these tests and that it can in fact be tested. That is why I am asking for data. I wouldn't ask for data on a subject that data cannot be collected for. The purpose of a forum is to share and exchange information with a group so I am asking for the findings that anyone who has already tested this out are willing to share with the rest of us.
If you have already tested this stuff or are wiling to test it and post your results please do. For those of you who want to suggest simply testing this stuff, thank you for being exceedingly helpful in pointing out a solution that is blatantly obvious and does not in fact answer the question. |
