We all do reason why we still play the game. But thats what has the vet testers worried is that the rate in which fixes and content is coming out might as well expect a 2015 release. The fact that the game has been in "BETA" for as long as it has and the results so far arent looking to good.
I'm sorry I cant call it a "BETA" (what small size it may be) it has macro transactions and I to agree with Raven from a business aspect thats entering the retail section. Wether they entened to or not they have entered that aspect. And from a business aspect of it things arent where they should be after a year of "testing". I dont want it to get to the point where they are just throwing out due to SOE's deadlines.(NOT trying to relive another PAST DCUO moment.) That is a game thats made major changes in a year and it to is SOE, MMO, pve, pvp, lore, DLC, MICRO, Phased, ect...
I just fear for the game that if they dont start rolling out content and fixes here soon they will start see a drop in "tester" player base. Maybe soon then later and a bigger drop then they may expect and might end up like SWTOR. |

When a word means different things to various parties in a conversation, the way rational people communicate is to define their terms so the conversation is being had in the same language.
If some people think that "open beta" forbids the testing of core mechanics, while others do not, we're speaking different languages.
Let's taboo the word "beta" and it's synonyms and work with a different definition of this pre-release gameplay.
Is there anywhere that CCP has given us a description of what their intent with the open beta is or do we need to request this definition so people can stop raging about the game not meeting standards which may be based on a miscommunication.
They dont think that it forbids it in anyway they just assume that with the game being out testing for a year that core mechanics would have been aleast figured out 6 months after test release. I dont think dates would be good cuz there was a date for dec 2012 that wasnt made and the rage there was alot worse to making dates and not making them would just make things worse. |
