Why the hell do you revert to sniping if your team gets red lined? do you honestly think you're helping in pushing the enemy back when you snipe from 200 meter away, and miss every shot? Do you actually think you're being of some use to your team?
Do you actually think it's a good idea to have half of your team revert to sniping? do you think it'll scare the enemies away?
What goes through your heads when you are put into a situation like this? |

I found out how a few builds back, but it got patched. Wonder how they're doing it now. |

That's what I did a few builds ago- but now there's a sheet of metal blocking the way to it. |

Most "blue berries" aren't going to go to the forums and reply, but back when I first started playing this game I used to do this so I can somewhat provide an answer:
The game is lost. There is no hope for a comeback. Even if we did manage to make a comeback the reward wouldn't be that great, at least not enough to warrant the costs of suits I would need to bring and risk to make it happen. So I'll just snipe and make the most of the situation until our MCC is destroyed.
Now I find other ways to pass the time when a match is out of hand, which does include a lot of sneaking around. Pretty much try and create a diversion so our team can make a push and at least go out with a bang.
P.S. Don't always assume the guy sitting in the MCC looking down with a sniper rifle is an idiot. Someone mentioned this before but you can actually see a great deal of some maps from up there and can actively relay enemy positions to the rest of your squad/team which can be a pretty significant advantage for the price of one less pair of boots on the ground. |

Yea if things got bad enough that you were redlined in a pub match do you really think a heroic assault is gonna change the tide? It's just going to make every red on the map converge on that one precious point you managed to take and snatch it back with extreme prejudice. So why not just hang back and have some sniping fun? Plug a few people, hit a few miracle shots, get your SP bonus up cause you sure as hell ain't winnin!
I've been playing for like 3 weeks, and I at least know when there's a lost cause going on. Ambush match and after 5 minutes the score is 50-70? Forgive me if I don't go all Braveheart at them lol |

There have been times when in pub matches I have so many terrible newdots or just terrible blue dots on my ream that I have gotten redlined or it's just gotten to the point of winning is pointless. I almost never attack the same way twice and have developed hit and run tactics to be able to still play without the teams aid. I believe that this is part of my problem of being a 'lone wolf'. Whereas I've just developed my char to the point where I almost literally can run alone. As for the dots .. **** I dunno. It would seem obvious that if someone on your team gets one or more objectives then maybe you should work to help with that effort. But yes it still begoggles me to this day as to why some of those dots do the things they do, Or even in the instance where you're winning. Why redline the enemy? Why hack the last letter? Do you simply not realize that the rest of the game will end in redline snipers? Who knows why stupid people do the things that they do, under the impression they dont know themselves or they wouldnt be stupid people |

Games over, we lost, I'm not running down there so you and your teammates can farm me for your KDR and cost me suits and ISK. Plus I like sniping, getting head shots in this game with a sniper rifle is very challenging, nice change of pace from my AR game.  |

BULLSHIT! I cant tell you the number of matches I've fought back from the red line and won. But I can tell you those matches had very few blue berries switching to sniping and the whole team pushed hard and played smart. Ive beat stronger teams into submission. Ive have every sort of fight and it all come down to your team being more commited then the other team.
so to every one who thinks like you, you cause your own red line, not unfair matchmaking you do. So stop being a little ***** and actually contribute instead of hiding in your red line. |
