Let's have a discussion between the decent players here with KDR higher than 10. If you are lower, please refrain from posting.
What in your opinion is the strongest role in game currently? To me, it's tanks and snipers because they kill the most. Killing wins matches, and the rest is more or less just roleplay. |

Lol, the guy who made this post is crazy. I like how he trys to categorize himself up there with the players have legit high KDRs without the hiding. If you were just to ask the question without throwing in all the kdr talk to have a opinion might of been a successful post. |

While I agree with the idea of this sometimes when you play a lot of skrimish with ransoms your w/l isn't effected all that much by you solely so I think that's wrong

I think it's a mix of KDR W/L and yes WP although this stat alone can be clouded by somebody who hacks every single thing there is to hack rather it helps or not. |

And for anyone who actually believes your KDR score proves anything.... Well, leaving losing battles, only joining games with friends that support you, sniping all day erryday and having that SP advantage is an easy way to make sure that your K/D ratio will be stellar.
Now of course, there is the occasional awesomesauce player with great aim and sense for his surroundings, but those are a lot fewer than the people here with good K/D ratios.

K/D isn't all that matters in this game. I have over 5,000 Kills and over 1,500 Deaths. Just because I have a bit better of a K/D than 3.6 doesn't make me a good player. Hacking objectives, defending them, and working with my team makes me a good player. You can be a good player by sitting in the back of the map, on the overhead map calling out groups of enemies for your team. Or by doing the same thing, except instead of sitting on the overhead, you can use a sniper rifle and not only call out for your team, but pick a few off as well. Killing doesn't always win matches. On maps like Ashland and Skim Junction, where there are 5 Null cannons, if one team controls all 5 for a significant period of the match, they are going to win. Period. I haven't seen a team that was red lined win by clones before. You might be able to on Line Harvest or Manus Peak where the matches take a little bit longer. There is something to be said for tank drivers as well. Tanks can have one of two roles. Assault and Support. If you are assaulting with a tank, usually you have a blaster, and a lot of shields/armor. If you are supporting, you can do one of two things. Have a blaster and roll between the Null Cannons you control whilst defending them. The other thing you can do is have a Railgun and take out Jeeps, Tanks, Dropships, and (if you deal enough damage) Bolas. While snipers/tankers dominate the kills and K/D leaderboard, these "good" players you speak of are ones with high W/L ratios and high WP. Kills and K/D is like icing on the cake to them. |

So if I make a sniper, get 10 kills and just hide that would give me a K/D of 10, thats all that it takes to be ELITE? Geez I been a fool, playing the game, getting killed to save others or capturing objectives ect |

Lets say this isn't a troll thread, which I certainly hope it is.
I'd like OP to write down his Win Loss Ratio, then we can have a discussion about how elite we are.
If we need to define it somehow, I'd say a KDR multiplied with Win/Loss ratio would be a decent simple numerical way of doing it.
So for me it'd be (more or less):
6.15*4.5 = 27.675
This number should be at least 20 minimum, in my humble opinion. |
