I've now had over 5 tanks costing 600,000 isk fail to deploy....
This week!
-hits a pole (flying infrom other side of map!?) I'm at the border!
-drops tank in redzone
-derps out n drops tank upside down then crashes
-flys and hits another npc drop ship
-oh the best one....hovers for 30 seconds, bringing a horde of enemies...kills me then lands and gets hacked
Seriously I'm a dedicated tank driver and the above is bullshit.
Can I get my tanks back....
No I'm not an idiot. I call the stop in a nice clear area at map border
If you can't/won't fix this give us oak purchasable insurance
Oh and the ****** blur that got in my tank and blew it up...
Add a lock vehicle to squadmates option please

This sounds like user error.
I deploy my fair share of tanks and have only had 1 issue with the dropship which was it dropping my tank on a roof.
If your going to drop a tank spawn at the starting area where preset drop points are. also dont call in a tank in the first 4-5 mins of a game while every newberry and his dogbot are spawning LAV's |

Sometimes you pick the best spot possible and the RDV decides to take the worst route possible, banging into every building on the map along the way. I've had the RDV almost come in for a perfect landing, hover about 20 feet above the ground and then suddenly decide that all the buildings it had previously avoided need a little love tap. If its really feeling sadistic it will suicide against the side of one of those buildings and then who knows whats going to happen to my tank. |

Hitting another rev happened once, and it hit it due to flying across the whole map!
As stated I ain't not fool not am I new. I call them in at map borders that are deseted...same spots zdowggg and any other tamker would.
Tell me how flying in and hitting the central tower on Ashland is my fault?
Dropping in redzoneon peaks...
Hovering on peaks with out moving long enough to attract near-all the enemy team
Sometimes it'll fail n ill just be like wtf happened?
I only play ambush. I'm at a deserted edge of the map. It should not be flying in from the complete other side of the map and derping into a tower.
And no, know one shot it down...they're invisible until in your sight

Just had it happen again to me. Call in Sica (sorry I'm a cheap bastard in pub matches) at edge of map, receive message RDV Delivery Failed. One of my squadmates (on the other side of the map) tells me hey what did you do with your tank? The RDV managed to crash into a tower and destroy itself, dropping my tank on the other side of the map. Luckily my squadmate jumped in it and managed to bring it to me. |

I for one love the rdvs they make me chuckle when the derp. I hav lost my fair share of isk to them... and used to kill others dropships im looking at you.
But they do need work I mean my drones in eve will occasionally do derpy things like attacking something im not engaging 100km away.
But the rdvs sem to be programmed to just derp it up to a whole new level. We have ai that can challenge even the most skilled players but a vehicle delivery ai can't be told to not crash into stuff. That seems like lazy programming to me.
I would like to see them slightly smarter but keep in some of the derp. |

I have had several of the above happen to me in ambushes where there is no cluster of LAVs under a dropship. When you are spending 600k+ per tank you will take certain precautions to avoid losing it such as drop uplinks and going to a wide open area that should be free of obstructions and teammates.
On the ambush map that is wide open I have had it drop the tank so far in the redzone I was at 8 seconds till death when I got into the tank.
I have had the dropship fly in the wide open area and just sit there holding it for a minute.
The map that has the 2 giant mining buildings and the big pipes going to the middle, in the ambush version the top of the map is the wide open area above A/B. Drunkship pilot flys in across the map and clips a pipe somehow.
Had it drop on the other side of a mountain when I was standing in the middle of the road.
Had it drop on the side of the mountains causing it to flip instantly.
Had it fly in and drop real quick, but just far away enough from me to give it to a bluedot. |

Can I get my ISK back for every time I have been Spawned killed if so that would be equal to about 75 million. I play a lot and at my current build that equates to only 245 spawn deaths out of 3,800 deaths. But I feel your pain Dany. |
