So I noticed that the melee damage for any suit is basically 135, and I decided to try putting some points into Hand to Hand to see if I could get that number into a really nasty range and maybe make a scout that beats people to death! Hand to Hand maxing out at +50% and another mod giving a +25% by my math would be doing about 250 damage per swing. But when I upped the skill the number on the suit fittings never changes.
Has anyone tried building into this and knowing how effective it is? And is the number supposed to change based on you skills or is it a sort of invisible number? Thanks! |

the number in you suit is the default melee damage of that suit... the overall melee damage you can deal is not displayed |

The stats don't all entirely update. CCP intends to fix that problem later on. |

No, they don't update at all when you look at the suit itself. It's not supposed too, either. That's supposed to be a baseline, so you can calculate most of that stuff on your own. Now, if it damage, range, and scanner stats would show up at all, that would be nice, but for the most part you have to figure this stuff out yourself. |

It works pretty well- I tried it before the wipe.
I'm probably going to put SP into hand-to-hand combat too, since MD logis are usually screwed in melee range otherwise. |

Hand to hand I feel is worth investing in but melee seems sketchy at best on this game, perhaps if we could change the melee button |

It should though, when you are in Fittings -- I'd personally like to know how the equipment affects the suit's stats. If you want to know the baseline, you can just look at the suit's card in the Marketplace. |

I would love to see the stats on the fitting adjust based on your modules and skills, it would be really really helpful instead of having to get out a pen and paper to figure stuff out |

Why is it "not supposed" to be reflective of your skills/mods? In EvE, the fitting tool shows everything, skills, mods, implants, all effecting the final value. In Dust, the fitting tool shows some mods effecting the final value (such as CPU/PG mods), and some skills (such as CPU/PG fitting reduction skills).
And you cannot say that "this is fitting attributes, so fitting screen only shows those". No. The fitting screen also shows armor changes, shield recharge rates, speed, and others. It stands to reason, that the fitting screen is simply incomplete (this is a beta), and it should be showing all stats |
