Due to Equal Opportunity Act the side you may wind up on may not be the one you intend. Command shares your frustration but the nearly 100 year old Yulai Convention is not exactly worded for the immortal soldiers as personnel; rather the convention considers us pieces of equipment under current wording. So until amendments are made to it to consider us non-equipment and actual personnel we're lumped in the same category as technology and thus any 'technological advantage' of one empire must be made available to all other empires by either providing the technology outright or sharing the information that lead to its creation.

Interesting. Somehow I don't expect as much of a massive effort to make the Bragian Order lose this time. It seems like the reason we all rallied to curbstomp them last time was because it was our own survival that mattered, but here I can see a lot there's much less personal interest for us mercs, so i could just all be about the money.
Of course, as a Gallente with no love for the Order OR the Amarr, I will be proceeding to kick them in the teeth. Repeatedly. |

But you are playing Eve. They are one universe. Yes, in the future these events wll have more impact for both games, will you continue to whine then? Or are you only going to care when they give you a shiny new suit for a reward?
You are a part of New Eden, part of the point of Dust and Eve is to impact a larger universe in a meaningful way. It's not supposed to be just run around shooty shooty, flying spaceships pew pew, actions have consequences, and the things that players do, all players, alter the course of the entire universe.
But if you don't care then don't play the battles and miss half the content, but stop whining about it in here. |

Was this something just anybody could participate in? I imagine so but just want to be sure; if so I wish there was some sort of notification in game. I haven't bothered to check the other merc & corp tabs because there's never anything in them when I do (of course I know the corp tab is reserved for actual corps). Guess I'll have to play less and check the forum more if I want in on this stuff. |

Well, I stayed up for an hour to play. It's small-map ambush.
Some guys from STB kept spawning in Madrugars, but at least when I was with them on the BO side, I did some sandbagging. I wasn't being too effective at that in one battle, so I sat on top of the tank meleeing it.
I hate to say it, but thus far, I think those lunatic Amarr and their Caldari lackeys might be winning. 
Now I must try to sleep, knowing that the ancient oppressors are trying to commit genocide against the Starkmanir... Again.
