For the skirmish gamemode currently a player does not get any points for stopping an enemy from hacking your silo. As a result no one tries to stop the hack, but instead wait for the other team to gain control of the node to hack it back. What makes matters worse is that countering a hack takes a lot longer to accomplish than hacking it in the first place (perhaps the % modifiers to hacking are not applied).
In a real war scenario you would want to counter the hack instead of wait for the control shift to hack it back because in that short time your MCC could take extra unneccessary missle impacts.
Similarly you are not awarded any points for hacking an enemies vehicle. You should get points for hacking their vehicles and although the vehicle changed possession it should still count against the quota of the team that called it in (and left it to get hacked) until said vehicle is destroyed. Maybe do a purple icon for stolen vehicles to give the original team a chance/reason to hunt stolen vehicle down. |

Counter hacking should give points but despite that it has another lovely effect. It denies the other team/squad 100 wp that is 100 more wp they need to get an OB.
Hacking vehicles is its own reward! say a guy calls in a super awesome tank in the middle of the field and you murder and hack his tank. You now have a shiny death machine to roll around in and face murder him with forcing him to blow up his tank to stop your rampage. Which costs him the tank!!!
so yes i agree with giving points for stopping a hack but not necessarily for hacking vehicles since you just stole their vehicle. |

Stopping a hack should give 100 WP. And hacking a vehicle should give as many WP's as the vehicles destruction (40 for LAV, 120? for HAV). This will stop people from waiting till the hack is done on objectives. And will stop people for destroying an abandoned vehicle for the WPs instead of hacking it.

I'm ok with the idea of hacking a vehicle be JUST steal and not worth points. Its the only time where you're legit stealing money from the other person lol. Drive even that crappy tank off a cliff and it didn't cost you a dime! :D |

Eh... If it does give points it should be something absolutely miniscule. I mean like, 10 points.
The reason I say this is because it's very easy to exploit - just get two guys on either side that are buddies/part of the same corporation and they just take turns hacking the objective over and over again.
We don't need stat padders. |

My general feeling is this: If they get points for taking it, we should get points for stopping them. That would include stopping hacks, stopping red dots from taking supply points, turrets, etc., and even getting team saves if you kill an enemy who is about to finish off one of your team mates. |

We don't need stat padders. If people want to stat pad won't they just call in a free LAV and keep hacking it? Or two and then alternate between them
Rehacking should give the same amount of WP as hacking, so 100.
Also it's not really like your total WP actually matter, so who cares if someone is padding this? |

If they want to stat pad then they can just go to a supply depot and hack it back and forth just like you are suggesting. call in the free LAV while at the supply depot and blow each others cars up and bam you just doubled your padding...
Also like I said when cancling a hack none of your hackspeed% increases are taken into effect so it takes much longer to cancle a hack than to hack it in the first place.
Blowing a tank up gets you points, but hacking it doesnt when in effect you hacking it not only removes their tank but gives your team a tank to use. It is fairly difficult to hack a tank considering you rarely will find one empty anyways. The other part of my suggestion for the vehicle was for it to still be considered in the enemies quota (there is a max vehicle quota). |

are you dumb? do you have any idea how hard it would be to stat pad over a control point? it should be 100 points for stoping the hack, maybe even more. |

Why is today more important than before Chromosome? This has been around a long, long time. Rip Van Winkle time frame here.
However, it is reassuring to see someone so convinced of their powers of persuasion that they believe they can change the well established behavior of the Devs.
Okay, it is silly as well. But, in a reassuring way. |

Oh no, Test Alliance is calling me dumb - what ever will I do if not for all of your Goonswarm hand-me-downs?
But no, seriously, try defending the control point instead of letting it get hacked. Just sayin'. |
