Also I understand that EVE keeps getting new skills and don't get skill resets, and would agree with that for Dust once it really gets going, but somethings right now seem to validate a skill reset. Namely - racial dropsuits. A lot of peope are specializing in suits they would of never chosen simply because it's their only option right now, and when they release the other racial variants they'll then have wasted skill points.
Yeah, the popular response to this will be, "Just hold off on specializing until then" but come on, this is still in beta and shouldn't be that big of an issue.
One way to resolve that issue is for CCP to borrow of a page from their own book on how they went ahead with the Tieracide of various ships in Eve Online which ultimately affected the skill tree requirements. Many skill books were split up in the process into the four factions of Eve. Many players worried that the ships they trained into would be unflyable but CCP reassured them that if they were able to fly it then, they can fly it after the change.

Let us repeat again: if you could fly it before, you will be able to do so after the change. Technically it means if you are able to fly an Oracle by having Amarr Cruisers 3 and Battlecruisers 3, we will remove the Battlecruisers skill from your character and give you Amarr Battlecruisers at 3. If you had Battlecruisers at 3 and Caldari Cruisers 3 instead, you would not receive Amarr Battlecruisers but the Caldari Battlecruisers skill at 3 instead. The same principle work with the Destroyers skill.
With the way nested skill requirements work in EVE, it also means that you will still be able to fly an Apocalypse even if you donGÇÖt have the Amarr Battlecruiser skill trained at 4 after the change. It wonGÇÖt matter as long as you have the Amarr Battleship skill at the proper level.
I hope that explains it for you. |

Second DUST devs are not EVE devs. Different teams, different programing, different projects. I think the only overlap personnel wise in Rek is the art department, the overall management of EVE/DUST, and techies. Maybe I can get someone to find out at Fanfest for me.
When CCP finally coughs up the CSM minutes in reguards to DUST then you can tin foil hat it up. In the mean time be patient, I bet you will see something big announced and demoed @ Fanfest, coupled with a new build to PSN shortly there after. Video just released hinted at the PvE vs drones & stuff. Vegetation has been muttered about.
Siddown, shut up, and have a Quafe and a smile. Quafes make me hyped up and I have a hard time sitting still. It's all the sugar, caffeine and the ground up souls of Caldari who are being oppressed by the libertine Gallente scum.
Yes caldari souls are tasty, as well as the souls of minmatar children.
I'm Amarr in eve, minmatar souls are a delicacy, if you get passed the duck tape tapping their delicious souls together.
Mmmmmmm time to raid another slave planet. |
