A few of us Mass Driver players are wondering what if any the sharpshooter skill effects the Mass Driver.
I have had sharpshooter up to prof 2 in prior builds for assault rifle and you can easily notice the difference in the range, but with the MD it feels exactly the same.
Does Sharpshooter effect anything on the MD?
CCP could you discuss the idea of sharpshooter effecting the drop of the MD shot. The more skill points you spend into sharpshooter the more the shot of the grenade will drop. As it is currently I can shoot across the most maps but the shot stays level until it hits an object or just disappears.
Open to discussion or ideas about MD and Sharpshooter.
Also reload speed on MD, whats the deal with specing into reload skills when it takes a whole .8 of a second off the reload at max.

What sharpshooter to lvl 3, but why is my question what do you notice? We have been discussing this with many MD users in many corps and they all have stated no difference in anything with SS of any level. |

Again why, what does it get you? we talking a full second or better on reload?
I want to spend SP into these stats but before I do, I would like more info on why. |

Morathi III wrote:I tested it in the past , that make difference and beyond 3 SS its really to far you dont need it, best to make reload better its the key with MD,go on MD pro lvl2, dont go for 3 now better with reload at first
So you suggest SS to lvl 3 and thats all but not to go to prof 3 on MD but instead get reload skills up?
Could you provide me with the stats as to why you think MD needs reload up and at what level it really starts to be effective.
You say reload up to Prof 2, but how much time does it take off the reload.

40%. Sry I'm not able to get n the game right now Not all the way prof 2, 31% its enough and you take a huge advantage on the field
With reload 5 and reload prof 2 you get a total of 31% off your reload speed? Is that all, seems like it should be more.
Whats the total points to get to prof 2 + reload lvl 5

Full Metal Kitten wrote:There's no need for additional range on MD. I'm skilling SS to benefit my other light weapons. Once you get tired of diminishing returns to skill levels on MD you will train another weapon. Save SS for last or dont skill it at all if MD only. Train sidearm SS instead. Specialization into one thing only is an advantage now, but won't be in six months when dudes can bring greater tactical flexibility by being pretty good with multiple platforms.
Also, I'm a newb. How'd I do?
Well except a lot of us using MD are Logi's and we don't have sidearms. |
