You could always get the guys preparing for the Imperfects tournament.

Perhaps try and get community events and shows going to add more fun to the game like the ROFL leadership has done.

Part of being a strong CEO is understanding how to work within limitations, even very constrictive one. Provide a reason for your members to stay active and be a part of the group. If players are getting burned out on the game as you say I would expect all Corporations to see declining numbers.
Players will notice the corporations that are burning brightly even if there are issues with the game, naturally they will be drawn to the ones that provide extra fun and content, and a reason for them to be a member other than just repping a name.
A bad workman always blames his tools, in this case I agree the tools are a bit flawed. However you should be looking how to best use the flawed tools instead of blaming problems on them since there is nothing you can do to fix them at the moment. |

So, what's up Zion? You gonna fall apart before we've even had the chance to roll you? Not at all. Still have 300+. LOL People see 1 guy get kicked and want to yell theres a fire. @ Tourneys: I have 300+ members and can only allow 8 at a time in to a tourney. What is the other 292 or so members going to do? LOL
To be fair I didn't think Zion was in bad shape at all until you came out and said you are going through a Corporate burn out. I think that is what people are talking about, not Sota Pop.
I also agree 100% with your MMO statement. Anyone who is here and is more interested in the MMO aspect of it has no reason to be playing yet, and that's a little bit of a shame.
Also fair point to the tourny #. If they can handle 32 players on all the pub matches just fine it seems really strange they have yet to knock up the Corp matches over 16. |

I think he might have used the wrong word there. It's more like people are getting ansty. One person was kicked because Racism is not aloud especially to his extent and SoTa was kicked because whatever his reasoning is this time around.
+1 for having Corporate standards in my opinion. Even if this board is a lawless hellhole
I think a lot of the Zion misconception comes from your sheer numbers. I've seen Zion squads that crush to the same extent as the imperfects going about 100-3 as a squad. I've also seen a Zion Squad get whipped into shape by me and a few of my friends who I would say are not really that hardcore of players. It's nearly impossible to have universal skill standards unless you are running a closed community. |

So if you believe it's just a leader to member communication problem your sorely mistaken. Even among your officers they don't know wtf is going on.
Can't wait for this exact same post about the Imperfects in 2-3 months time when he writes a bad book review for Zitro or something.
Followed by the "All Hail ' ??? '", where will SoTa end up next any guesses? I wouldn't be against putting isk on the line to make it more fun |

Zion Shad wrote:This is my Sota Pop Challenge. I want you to make a Forum Diary right here in General Discussion for everyone to see and write about your experience with IMPswarm. Show all of us how they are a functioning Corporation and not just some FPS Clan.
From where IGÇÖm at right now, all the things that you said we did not have I do not see any of it in IMPswarm. ItGÇÖs just an FPS Clan, but you can show all of us otherwise.
Just a tip from a impartial forum observer. SoTa pop likes to throw mud. When you throw it back he not only wins, but also makes you look bad, regardless of who won the mud fight. |

Mr Zitro wrote: Please don't put Zion squads and same extent(level) as imperfects. That is just insulting. Universal skill is possible just look at good players and if you observe closely you might see what I'm talking about
You guys have universal skill, but like I said you are a closed community. You vet all your players to ensure they are up to your standards before you make them an Imperfect. You also use a feeder corp to ensure you can train players not up to your standards before you let them take on the official Imp tags. Comparing yourself to an anyone is more or less welcome corp is kind of silly.
I was also suggesting there are players in Zion who are at the same level as some Imps, at least from my experience playing against both squads. If you honestly think every single imp is better than all 300 Zion members that's pretty silly. |

It's nearly impossible to have universal skill standards unless you are running a closed community. Thanks man and you hit it. We are a community and so things will always be a hit or miss in battles depending who you play. we take the dads and the weekend worriors. We take those still in school or have a job (sometimes both). They hop in and show their LFS and then get their game on. They my Bros! If you Cant be in the COOL Kids club, then grab a beer and chill with us. We are working on things where you can be a part, even if it's part time
This is more or less my mentality as well. I don't want to be yelled at if my KDR isn't up to snuff, or if I **** up on the battlefield. I don't want to have to be approved by players that are better than me who can affirm I can also be a part of the elite but only after I put my time in in the trenches.
I understand the appeal of it, and there is not doubt it trains the best and most deadly warriors. If you want to be the best a closed skilled Corp is really the only recipe for success. It's just not how I personally enjoy the game. It's why I am a Crimson Raven, a small corp of ppl that I like to play with that I'm sure nobody has really heard of. I'm glad I can also be a part of ROFL as well because then we can also play to some larger more exciting goals at the same time.
I never plan to take a Contract against the Imperfects, I know we would lose it's obvious to me. I know there will still be a space for us to fight in the galaxy taking on other Corps at our level, and I can always cheer on Pink Fluffy Bounty Hunters and other ROFL corps when it comes to truly elite competition because we are both supporting the same cause in different ways. |

Mr Zitro wrote:Now on to you, I haven't seen you play but based off your posts you seem really silly, especially your standards on who is good or not.
I've got you a few times in closed beta with my Codewish maybe like 2-20 against you. So yeah overall you kicked the **** out of me in quite a few matches. Kinda of instant death if you saw me with your Codewish. I never claimed to be an elite level player so I don't really take offense to you saying I'm not that good.
I also stick to pub matches so my sense of player skill is admittedly not great. Unlike you I don't claim to know the skill level of every Zion player. |

My standards are based on what I see in pub matches. So naturally not all players take them seriously it's hard to get a true grasp on player ability. I've seen imps go negative in K/D. I've gone 4-0 against an Imp in 1v1 firefight in a game. I didn't think you would be so offended by me suggesting that some Zion players can also perform just as well as you guys in public matches I've watched. |

Just so's ya knows. I saw Free Beers on my team go 0/2 yesterday in a pub ambush that our team lost on. He came in like 13th place, I'd thought he'd dropped at first when I checked the board. Either his little sister (/daughter/wife/I don't know the guy, don't ask me) was playing on his profile and getting owned, or he had a really bad match. Either way, I would HOPE there are more important things to the Imps than K/D. Have at me Free Beers! I don't remember this but okay. could you tell me who i was squaded with? Just so I know your not making this up. I do work from home and have to step away from the ps3 plenty during the day. This leaves me afk mcc or on the ground(waiting to be a free kill) I am curious to the cause of your obsession over IMPs deadeye? You should really find something else to do with your spare time then trying to weak troll
You leave out the 2/3 of that post where I talk about how good the Imps are and how that they are doing is the key to success, taking my post out of context? Then there is KryptixX and Zitro insulting me even though I was really civil in this thread. I guess you can see what you want to, or maybe you didn't read the whole thing which I wouldn't blame you for. I'm not painting a target, but I don't just roll over when people give me **** either. That statement you quoted was in response to Zitro going after me because I said I've seen Zion do just as well as Imperfects in pub matches on occasion. (and I've seen Zion do poorly as well as I've stated) |
