Zion Shad,
The content of this thread has merit. Everyone knows 3 roles in a corporation won't work, we've stated this before about better tools for corp. management. More attention should be brought to this issue.
But I swear... You have the worst timing.
First it was the whole DUST OB thing, then during that you announce your candidacy for CSM, really? Fast foward a few days and you kick one of your more charismatic members and then come and make this post a few hours later.
Next time you decide to make a post, look in the mirror and say, "Who have I offended or what have I done lately that can be used against me if I post this?"
Hardly any other groups have had issues because of the corporation model that is out now, don't put a majority of the blame on CCP because you don't know how to lead.
There are a lot of traits that go into being a leader and I'm still trying to find one or two of those in you.

Sgt Kirk wrote:@Cyn it doesn't matter if he was charismatic or not. He didn't respect the rules or the authority. I don't know if you're talking about sota or stop but they both were kicked for not following and/or not respecting. Rules are there for a reason, to maintain order.
There shouldn't be a blame on CCP but Imps and Zion and two completely different groups. Haha greatly different with different personalities. You guys are quite fond of ambush while a lot of us prefer skirmish. Its not exclusive but you'll find that the two groups gravitate towards one mode mostly.
Not everyone operates and has the same mindset.
Howdy Sgt Kirk,
The post wasn't about how or why Sota was kicked, doesnt concern me in the slightest. Different corp, different rules.
My post was about how your leader seems to pick the WORST times to actually say something to the community, and how he wants CCP to shoulder a part of the blame for Zion's problems. (corp named after yourself, bad idea no.1)
Would being able to assign more positions in a corp help out? In the short term yes, but you can't modify or tweak a persons leadership ability like you can in game mechanics.
I feel for you guys in Zion just like I feel for the guys in STB. Leaders make or break corporations, guess which one is happening to you right now? |

Not sure if it was a stunt (but it really didn't seem like it), one of the Imperfect members had an argument with Mr. Zitro, publicly, on this forum. He also mentioned that a lot of people weren't happy with something but he was the only one willing to voice his opinion.
So, my point of all of this is that the only thing that may be retaining Imperfect members is the fact that the Imps are so popular and are considered to be the best in the Dust at the moment. It may have nothing to do with Imp leadership. So, when you say, "I feel for you guys in Zion just like I feel for the guys in STB......", it made me feel like you're implying that civil unrest would not happen in the Imperfects because of your leadership when it was brought out here on the forums.
Edit: just an outsider's opinion looking in. But then, so are most of our opinions of other corp's inner dealings
You bring up good points Dubbs. From looking inside the Imperfects to the outside at other corps. I see differences. Some players want notoriety, power, isk or just to win. Different driving factors for different people.
Every corp. has these type of members in them. The bond that usually holds them together is how well they get along. In my corp. we have our differences and we usually air them out IN HOUSE, not on the forums.
Funny thing about our corp is we all come from different gaming backgrounds and competition levels (not unlike other corps), but when we all first combined into Voltron we got along great.
We give each other shi t all the time, we rag on each others peculiarilties, race, loved ones and KNOW it's not meant personally but as a means to further friendship and communication.
I get trolled 1000x more in my own corp. than I do here on the forums... and I love it. My RL friends do the same thing, if I DIDNT get messed with in corp. then I'd know I was in the wrong one. |
