The game is too slow. If it was slightly faster players would feel more 'intensity' in the game. At the moment gameplay is quite slow and plodding.
to those that think slower gameplay makes the game more strategic - and less like (insert whatever game you want). Your wrong, you just have to think quicker. |

I think the movement/speed is mostly fine. We actually move at about the same pace as in games like Halo/CoD/BF. The only difference is that most of those games have smaller/more focused maps (or better spawning in the case of BF) with better natural choke points, so it just seems we're slower.
Once the player count is increased, and the maps are hopefully refined, this shouldn't be an issue. Though for the record I don't see it as an issue now. Especially since making it faster would just make it even more of an annoying "dance" shooter where everyone just wiggles around like they're having seizures. Tracking at long distance (which is a big part of the game) would also be significantly more difficult. |

We need push-bikes, maybe about 200 ISK each ?
Jokes aside, i think the current game speed is fine. |

players already move in excess of 7 meters per second when running [heavies are a bit slower]. going any faster would render LAV's near useless (and they are kind of pointless, the mounted weapons are quite weak anyway) so it comes down to game design and what Unreal can do. as ominous as that sounds. but, i could be wrong, in which case you stll can get your hopes up |

They have no doubt tried numerous different movement speeds internally. They don't need to change it for us, as the pacing of the game isn't something they require us to tell them about, as they can see it for themselves very easily.
There isn't a right answer here. Some people like games where movement speed is very high, and everyone is jumping around at high speeds shooting guns at each other. Dust isn't that kind of game. Dust isn't ever going to be that kind of game. Asking for CCP to change the whole feel to the game is kind of pointless at this point, as the more tactical, "realistic" gameplay that emphasizes movement less when it comes to winning firefights is clearly what CCP is going for. |

Just wait until the maps are bigger,
I hear the fighter aircraft are so fast they'd instantly be in the redline of any map we have now.
Time to get those LAV's ready and plan some travel time.
Especially if walking. |
