OK I'm tired of trying to fly a dropship around, trying to help my team when suddenly a railgun or a forge gun hits me, doesn't get to my armor, but instead flips me 180 degrees upside down...... this needs fixed. And I'm still waiting for my points for dropships ccp. That and the gunship are all i want... PLEASE! |

Do armor modules (because they increase mass) decrease motion caused by enemy fire? That would be a good perk to armor. |

I wonder about some of these decisions. The only reason for this one is to reduce usage of Drop Ships. Seems to have worked. |

so thats why i get kills after 1-2 hits on dropships... I am always confused as to why they seem to fall then explode when I hit them. |

They are like trying to fly a latex balloon filled with helium. You let out a little gas and VOOM, you're across the map in 5 seconds, then you get hit by a strong gust of wind (a swarm launcher blast) and you're all topsy turvy. A tank can absord 6 and up volleys but a dropship gets two or three and its out. That is assuming that you don't just flip upside down and crash into a rocky outcropping or building.
I started to get the flight down on an alt using non-militia DSs, but the expense wasn't justified because drop pilots who aren't Chewbacca with Han and Luke gunning for them don't gain ANY WP for transporting fellow troops or even spawning troops using a mobile CRU. Another bogus advantage tank drivers have, they get a gun while driving. A very powerful gun. |

anticipate the shot. I agree that it can be hard to dodge them, or even close to impossible, however if you know (and you should by now) where a railgun turret is then expect to be hit by it. I agree that we do need some WP for pilots but its a very hard balance to achieve without spamming the skies with dropships once again. I do feel your pains on this as i have lost many a ship to the same situation. as for swarms, ha i see where i got hit from and then i go and crush them |

I feel for the OP.
When someone mounts a CRU on a dropship, he is providing a VERY helpful service to the match.
He should get points for those spawns, and if the enemy doesn't want him earning one orbital too many, they better shoot him down. As it stands now, the dropships get shot down, and the pilot earns nothing unless someone kills something with his turrets. Points for a kill, points for a spawn. |

same amount of points for a mobile CRU as a drop uplink would be a very easy fix and really not any more exploitable then drop uplinks. I'm a tank driver who flies dropships for fun (glassy transport ship fitting) it would be hard to find other non-exploitable ways of getting points though. |

Its not just dropships, all the vehicle physics need to be tweaked a little (dropships less like WP Pinatas and LAVs less like a moon rover) |

I think they should just completely take away the impact force when hitting vehicles, maybe just reduce it, but it needs to be reduced quite a bit.
I'm sure a futuristic aerial military vehicle of that nature, would have some sort of computer controlled stability system, to detect and make corrections for variations in it's flight and stability anyways. |

That takes all the fun away -_-
Honestly it's not that bad, I mean I guess you weren't here when Swarms would flip you upside down, everytime no matter how good you were. Now you have to practice, if you get hit take into account the direction and adjust accordingly. Also Fuel Injectors save lives people. |

1) Agreed 2) Eh.. I go pretty damn fast. 3) Agreed (more PG and CPU pls) 4) They do, you have to take into account your movement. Blasters are great, Missile are great when not moving, Railguns are..lul. |

#2 - top speed is fine, but movement and acceleration at lower speeds is like trying to push through water.
#4 - blasters work due to their RoF, and the fact you have to practically land on your target anyway... missiles cant hit a building at any speed but 0, and if for some reason you arn't moving you'll have a REALLY hard time hitting a moving target at any reasonable range... Rails have the same problems as missiles accept due to faster bullet speed, and a reduced range its a bit easier to hit things.
Edit: #3 - dont really want to touch fitting... its restrictive for a reason, actually think its quite balanced. |

The more armor your dropship has the better it takes hits. You gotta know what your dropship can take, shield means you're gonna get rolled, and armor means your slower. |

The Ronan is right. My Grimsnes has a pair of Shield Resistance amps plugged into my high slots to give my dropship a Rail-Eating-My-Armor denial and general damage buffer. Armor dropships are slower and more stable, which makes them much better as Gunship platforms.
Shield Dropships generally need to get in and out. They can't stick around too long because swarms can be a serious liability. You have to factor in as well that the Shield platforms have significantly lower powergrid, so blasters rule out any sort of real troop-transport possibilities. The Myron is -amazingly- fast. I've got two Myron pilots in my corp. I can't convince either one of them to run a Mobile-CRU to get troops dropped on objectives. Given the speed and the tendency to get knocked around, the Myron is generally better for troop transport with a couple missile turrets. |
