lol, so I just got crushed in my madrugar via 1 man with "dark-side" advanced swarms.
2 hit death with 6k armor tripple repp'd.

Manual fire swarms, 0 splash damage to infantry, so we don't have the bazooka kill people problem.
I just find that much damage in a clip or per shot should take more then being able to fire it from behind a rock halfway across the map.
If swarms aren't semi cheap then instead of a flare system I would like tanks to have anti-infantry swarms.
By this I mean the tanks weapon systems will automatically lock anything with AV, once locked it will fire 6 heat seeking anti-infantry missiles that can follow you around corners as well as hill tops.
The lil' heat seekers can hold a clip of 6, total of 18 and can be re-filled when near a supply depot.

Against armor it is actually 2340HP per volley. i don't think this is correct. granted we don't have stats for dust but that's just not how defenses work in new eden. everything has a built in RESISTANCE to damage. armor is considered weak to explosives because it's starting resistance is typically 0-10%, but it's never NEGATIVE. meaning they will never take more than the amount of damage being put out by the weapon (weapon damage + shooter skills + damage mods), only ever the same amount or LESS. Also, let's examine the op. he says he's triple repped with 6,000 armor. how many low slots does a madrugar have? 5? so at least 3 of those are being used for reppers. madrugars also don't start with anywhere NEAR 6,000 armor, so at least 1 more slot is being used for an armor plate. now this is already looking suspicious because there's no ******* way you can fit 3 large reps and 2-3K worth of armor plate on that powergrid. so at least 2 of those reppers are likely "light" reppers. as in, made for LAVs and dropships. (and no matter WHAT they are, this only leaves 1 low slot for a resistance module. but how much you wanna bet he's using it for a powergrid module to make this all fit?) that makes 6K armor with very little to no damage resistance, and what is most likely 2 UNDER sized reppers. so yah... this is not a case of the poor underpowered tanker being beaten up by the big bad OP swarm launcher, this is a poorly fit tank being killed by the first real AV character he's ever encountered.

That is all. While we're in the mood for crazy. I say Heavies should have shield seeking bullets. and why can't drop ships have 6 turrets? flares would be nice though, or "IR" smoke like BF3 has.
6 turrets on a DS is a must have imo, I mean missiles suck as is, giving them 6 would balance them |
