I use to play EVE in SI, but we never got to the point of ending up in a war when I was in, this stuff is just new to me.

Yes, there is a fee to declare war, and declaring war on an alliance is more expensive.

For the official record, we did not surrender. ZionTCD has just created and joined Legacy Rising Alliance, which we have been building for the last several weeks. As part of the game mechanics, the creation of this alliance invalidated the war. Why would we surrender when we were winning the war, after all?

Um... Doesn't it clearly state that Zion lost almost twice as much ISK as SI did? At least those are the numbers I'm seeing on the link.

It really depends on your perspective as to which is more important. I think both stats are equally important.

Well, if I lose more ships but also have more ISK, I can easily buy the same ones or something else. On the other hand, you wouldn't be able to replenish your forces that quickly, due to more ISK getting lost and the higher costs of ships destroyed. I don't know about general EVE population's stance on this, but here is my perspective. And this is why I believe SI has an advantage at this moment.

Most of our Eve pilots are very young in game and don't have expensive ships - the ships being lost (on our side) are by these younger pilots. Also, because they are younger, they don't have the Skill Points, ISK, and Firepower to kill the more expensive ships that SI has brought - so they kill what they can. Think fighting against a proto assault suit in a militia suit, but being able to see recognize you are outclassed from a longer range (unlike in Dust where you sometimes have to be within 20 meters to see what kind of suit you are up against, sniping excluded for one of the best snipers in the game :P ).

ISK is the only thing that matters. If you kill 1000 T1 rifters and we kill 1 titan we still win the war.

It would be better if you kept the eve stuff on the eve forums, I play dust to escape internet spaceship epeens, most retired pilots have more kills then both your alliances put together.

Don't know Eve well, but I would think dropping efficiency AFTER a wardec is over wouldn't be a factor in the results of a wardec. Please correct me if I'm wrong, I know little about Eve.

Well, the war still continues during the 24 hours after "the end" of the war. Moreover, as mentioned before, this was cause by a glitch, and the war will resume once the cooldown is over.

Edit: One more question; Is it clear that SI was the cause of the drop in efficiency? I can't make heads or tails of that stat sheet.

we had to battleships lost thats why we lost the efficiency rating. however that being said both losses were pilot error and error on myself as well. some others mentioned these small isk numbers dont mean much because they dont take into account pilot errors..

prior to the errors we were way ahead

Yes; that spreadsheet shows kills of SI ships and losses taken during fights with SI members. Thus, since Zion's ISK losses are three times as much as SI losses, herein comes the efficient rating of 25%.

well, if Zion had to go make a new bloody EVE alliance just because they couldn't do a god damn thing to get out of their home system, I think we were winning.

The ISK loss alone on their side gave full indication that they were doing something wrong.
Not to mention we can war-dec them as long as they like, wherever they hide.

Lol thread. Anyway if anyone is interested which i very much doubt you can check the war historyGÇÖs. ItGÇÖs actually been 3 wars not one.

Its about 1.2 bil lost to Zion and SI has lost about 250 mil so far (paddyGÇÖs fault he's a giant nub).

Its just abit of fun and IGÇÖm sure its enriching everyoneGÇÖs experience in new eden.

Thanks for this post Kellyn I was felling really bad about accounting for about 150million isk loss for SI. Since i did not know that i coudnt dock after shooting Nick I lost my omens and Geddon due to PILOT ERROR. So therefore we can also discount my losses due to ur logic. Yaaaa!!!!
I've been PVPing for oooohhh about a week now and even i know that 90% of ships that are going to be lost are due to fu*king pilot error. Should we just discount all of those deaths as well??
