It's totally arbitrary. The people with more time still have more SP. Advancement by game-hours played (with attendance bonus) is a solid formula. Advancement by RL time with a small bonus for game-hours played is a forumla that just leads to grinders getting ahead while better players with less play time have to wait for the clock to tick over. |

Forget pretending it's testing. It's merely taking advantage of simple math skills. Changing the mechanic to award SP for doing nothing was a big mistake. 1WP = 1SP always (with maybe "happy hours" with 2-4x that rate when activated) would fix this immediately. Passive SP gives players that can't get kills at least some advancement. That's enough hand holding IMO. |
