imho, WHO CARES. im sorry but im sure this thread is something much more detrimental to the Dust community than what one well known great player MAY or MAY NOT have done in a match. Im sure him not being there during the match wasnt the one single reason the pub was lost for your team. Im sure there were another 14 other blueberries there that could have been equally to blame for not performing well, i could be wrong but whatever. Win or lose a pub or a corp match, as long as YOU are playing , then your still benefitting. you got your SP and ISK and got to practice against a good team, so whats the deal?

Not sure when it became socially acceptable to abandon your squad mates in a match to work on Dust related projects. It seems like the people who do this a lot feel like it's perfectly fine behavior. If you treat pub matches like trash and don't show up for any reason its pretty disrespectful to those 15 players. I get it though a lot of people have no respect for anyone in, or anything to do with a pub match.

I like how much disdain and condescension this thread is exposing from the Imperfects for the public match players. There is a difference between not playing 100% and taking it as serious as a corp match, and not even showing up. It's sad when a 1-10 newberry is better to see on your team than an imperfect because they have developed so much apathy for the game and the community they probably won't even play if it's not their official sanctioned corp battle.

That's bull. No one forced anyone. I played as much as i wanted to and that was actually less than usual. It still was enough for me to earn more than the 27k that i was granted daily before but when i was done playing i went to do other stuff. I could've easily left my character leech on MCCs for a lot more time but i didn't for a very simple reason that people are trying to silence:

This is not just dishonest because of the SP leeching, it's also that in doing so you're taking up a spot on a team while doing nothing for said team and increasing the chance of this team's battle become a struggle against a full sided team. It matters even more when you know this AFK player could be decisive. Everyone that has played long enough will know that one single player can win you or lose you a game. When a player is MIA, it completely betrays your team. I've seen people going 3-10 be important in a match to secure a win, i may even value the effort a complete noob makes even if he failed to kill a single person but a person that is willingly standing around doing nothing is the most serious act of betrayal you could do to your team.

Funnily, this is why the other case i witnessed was also a player from a well known corp playing BY HIMSELF. These players are not usually seen playing without a squad. When you see these corps in battle, it's normal that you see them grouped and that's fine with me. But when they want to leech they go solo and jeopardize other people's games? Why is that? Why wasn't Kain or the other player i saw with their corp as usual? It's evident, because that would be something that you wouldn't be willing to put your own corp mates through. You wouldn't abandon them and let them go and fight on their own while you stand back.

So these players found a way to not feel bad for this. If they're alone, they're ******* with other people's game, and who cares about others, right?! As long as they don't do it to you, it's fine. What this shows is that this act was dishonest. If you're unwiling to do that with those you feel you're responsible to, then you shouldn't do it with others too.

what have u done? the same people defending this behavior QQ about redline snipers and bad blue dots but atleast they r trying. when u leech SP you defeat the very purpose for playing. wipe ur mouth too. if some nobody had done thing he'd be crucified. since its an imp its ok. hypocritic much?

No one said you had to get 280k SP yesterday. No one said you had to play 7-8 hours. No one said you needed to play like a greedy SP ***** just to milk every last ounce of it.

Son, I've been playing eve since beta, I've been killing conchord with dreads supported by cans full of cap charges that forced ccp to fix it. I've followed dust for the past 6 years.

This beta is fun but winning for winnings sake gives no incentive. Here try this this, write, victory on a piece of paper , tape it to your TV at the end of each match.
