While dual wielding pistols may seem like a great idea it would destroy the look of Dust. Ok, maybe destroy is too strong of a word. But it just doesn't fit. Dual wielding is for games like Halo, Call of Duty, and Borderlands. Those games can aren't taken 100% seriously. And I don't mean that they're jokes in gaming. It's just that a guy running around in Dust with two scrambler pistols looks a bit out of place. But that's just my opinion. |

I don't care if it is suboptimal, having a brand or other signature is as important as you ability to aim. If bonny was known for pot shooting with both pistols (two targets at once) he would be even more legend. That kind of flavor is way more important than "tacti-kool realizm" because it is FUN.
Realism? Ok, I'll just agree to disagree. Though, even if they considered it and put this into game without any issues. Can you imagine how horrible the range would be. Look at the SMG. It's useable in the right hands or with the right skills but dual-wielding would be pointless on such large maps and open spaces. Everyone using it will cry and whine for more range, less vertical recoil, and whatever they can think up as an issue. Then, there's reloading the time to switch to both weapons. In the end results, you probably wouldn't want it. And would regret the skill points you spent.
After all, the concept of dual-wielding is just aesthetic. Using two weapons at the same time isn't too effective. It's not like you can aim at two people at once. |

Ah+Žm.... http://community.us.playstation.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/2949i79E9EF25589260DE/image-size/original?v=mpbl-1&px=-1It's official, Dust 514's image is kaput! And by CCP's very own art department. Oy vey.
Lol. Thanks a lot CCP. Pic looks sweet though. Although, that's only a pic. In-game is a whole different story. There's no doubt dual-wielding can be cool but can it work, play well, and still be fun. After all, we can't let marketing images and trailers choose whether or not something should have a in-game element. There's tons of things in the artwork and trailers that either won't work in game or just won't be added.
