Never back down, never quit. However, when you're going up against the top Corps, and your team is a bunch of nobody's, it's tough to want to use your best gear since you're prolly gonna get your behind handed to you. This is when I see more cowards hanging in the MCC the whole time.

This is why you guys need to have skill based match making and create a separate playlist for nobodies to play against nobodies.

But I like fighting alone in ambush versus organized squads.
However theres real life details that sometimes result in either being AFK or just haveing to leave battle like the wife wanting to go shopping....sigh.

Really though, knowing can be beneficial. Winning play is winning play, but each group (and player, even) has it's own style and habits, and by knowing what they are you can make decisions to improve your survivability.

There have been enough matches where the fact that I knew PFBH, SI, or Zion was on the field was enough to keep me from being curbstomped.

Facing the good players is what makes things interesting, and if you're paying attention it's hard not to learn something. And as compensation for the tough going, ISK payouts tend to be better because of the better gear you're destroying.

I've learned you don't get better playing against crap. If you are a true player you need to play against people who are better....strive to improve. I've got a good feeling that most of the people who whine about games being unbalanced will be frequenting PvE and won't be bothering the "Real" players.

Vegas, you better get that $5 back from Hercules.

On a side note, you can't just expect Newberrys, point is to have fun, whether you win or lose.
The only way to get better is to learn from defeat I always say.

I think its a good idea cause i know allmost every decent tank driver on this game. Based on that i can choose what tank fit i need to use to counter them. Example is 10mg Plumbum (actual playername) he drives allways a armor tank (madrugar) with alot of HP on it and i think a propulsion module on the high slot (cant explain it otherwise how that thing drives so fast). He aswell has a advanced large scattered blaster and his strategy against other tanks is simple and effective together. When he spots a enemy tank he will drive at the enemy at full speed while shoting the blaster and ram him to blow up the shield tank. So the perfect counter against him is to use a railgun and when he makes it to medium range i instantly drive backwards while keep shoting the railgun.

You make isk either way so why not play, how much points you get seem to rarely affect payout.

Also millita gear exists for a reason. Clones are free who cares. If it is a real massacre it will be over quick.

Don't be the noob who complains about losing a 30k jumpsuit in the start of every ambush game, or 10 to imperfects, wise up and always have one millita fit with swarm lancher, and another with assault rifle.

Why do people consider this a bad tactic? Wtf kind of serious warrior would choose to fight with all the odds stacked against them?

That's why we have the choice to back out. Fight on the ground of your choosing, at the time you prefer and against the opponents you want to fight

This isn't about the length of your epeen, the size of your pride or the purity of your honor

For me, it's about improving. It's about getting better and figuring out how to get to the next rung. I find I compete best and learn more vs somewhat evenly matched enemies. I also learn vs well coordinated and highly skilled teams, just don't want to fight them all the time.

 Pick your battles

There's a good reason they have said this before DUST came along. But I appreciate CCP letting us choose.
